Basically, my killstreak is set at 20 and i'm curious whether or not those 20 kills in a row came just from my gun, frag, launcher, etc. or do killstreak kills ( choppers, ac130, predator missle, etc. count.

@NickT There's no way to know whether the mob you attacked died because it's health dropped to 0 from your attack vs. whether it was an instant kill proc.
You can get a sense of what your typical damage is, but there's no animation or sound or dialog that indicates a crit for example, to tell you whether you got an instant kill, or just hit something extra hard.
It just says choose a profile or something, and all I found out is I can move left and right and it switches bunks. All looks buggy. What is supposed to happen?
