11:20 PM
@jrg Right-o Captain Gifford.

jrg
Mr. Edison, get typing. I recommend you do this on a computer that is not connected to the internet. ;P
@GeorgeEdison if you need help verifying the bug, you can send me a GPG encrypted copy, i've got qtcreator installed on debian testing.

What is a GPG code? exposes his ignorance

jrg
so you can verify if it's a ubuntu or a general problem.

A: Difference between PGP and GPG

James HenstridgePGP can refer to two things: The Pretty Good Privacy software originally written by Phil Zimmermann, and now owned by Symantec. The formats for keys, encrypted messages and message signatures defined by that software. These have now been formalised as the OpenPGP standard. The GPG software i...

A: What are the GPG signatures

andrewsomethingWhat is GPG? GPG, or GNU Privacy Guard, is a suite of cryptographic software. It can be used to encrypt or sign data and communications to ensure its authenticity. This type of cryptography is based on key pairs. A public key is hosted on a key server (e.g. keyserver.ubuntu.com) and the private...

A: Is there a real name policy in the Ubuntu community?

Vibhav Pantcommunity accepted answer Summary You do not need to use your real name in the Ubuntu Community and when contributing to the Ubuntu project. However, you do need to use a real legal identity to contribute to certain Canonical upstream projects (or have agreed a suitable alternative). Ubuntu C...

basically those answer that.

Thanks. I'll take a look.
I'm going off duty now.

jrg

@Seth ok, lol

11:25 PM
IMO is not possible that a LCD have that effect. Is just not possible
Technically, though
@jrg BTW, do you use/used Visual Studio to program in C#?

jrg
@Lucio i haven't done C#, ever.

o.O

jrg
oh, that's a bug report, but not as serious as i thought it would be.

Not serious?
How is unexpectedly running an app as root not serious?

on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being remote code arbitrary execution, this is like a 5.

Not only that, but it's a terrible nuisance when you try to run the app as a regular user afterward - all of the config files are owned by root and can't be modified.
Now I have to chown a bunch of files.
Not cool.

@Seth I can see you :)

@Lucio Hi
When do you storm a battery and neglect to spike the guns?!?

jrg
when you are going to turn the guns around and shoot?

You'd wish you spiked them when the enemy retakes them...
But in general, I guess that'd be a legit time.

How are agree that this is a bug?

jrg
why, who didn't spike them?

@jrg The Swedes during the battle of... of.. Well I haven't gotten to the name yet.
@Lucio I'm not sure..

11:52 PM
@Seth Me neither.

Actually, I think yes.

Actually, no one can be 100% sure of any bug..

He's getting traceback errors..

@Seth I don't know python :(

@Lucio Well they aren't fun errors I can tell you.
BTW I've used VS:C# briefly... Do you have a question?

11:56 PM
@Seth Like, Segmentation fault in C?
@Seth The VS Express edition is 100% free?

Err, rather typeErrors sorry. That's what I meant.
@Lucio Not quite that bad..
@Lucio Yes.

But I am forced to register a form of Microsoft after a month, right?

@Lucio Um.. I know for a Windows 8 dev license you have to do something similar.. I don't know about other Windows..
But I think you have to get a developer license yes. That's free too though.
Or at least, I've never had to pay.
