I use Vi as my preferred (and, in fact, only) text editor on Linux Systems. I know how to change modes from normal to insert, and vice verse. Is it possible to have Vi automatically load into Insert Mode rather than Normal Mode?

We have utilities that we use to locate servers via scripts, and the help file comes up when you run it starts automatically at the top. To insert the server name, you need to clear all the help stuff then insert name. Hence the dGi
