8:00 PM

@RPiAwesomeness This is actually a funny story...

@Mateo for native unity notifications

The mail admin in a US-based company and me were trying to get a mail problem sorted...
and I sent him tons of messages from my (then) hotmail account

all with subject "test" and body "icle"...
@RPiAwesomeness He didn't get it, until I made him read it out faster and faster and one (female) colleague popped her head over into his cubicle and asked him why he was saying "testicle" so many times... :D

8:03 PM
@Fabby >.>

^ .^

@Fabby I did not get anything

I'll leave another one on another question...
Hold on...

But I did not mean desktop notifications

I know...
Did you get smth now?
(in your inbox)

8:08 PM
@Fabby now I did

there! It works again!

It seems to be a temporary problem

@Mateo Installed! Please test!
:-)

hi @Fabby

seems to work! :-)

8:10 PM
:)

I think I have it installed, can someone ping me?

hi @RPiAwesomeness

Awesome, it does.

@Fabby Why? User seems to have fixed the problem you gave

8:13 PM
yeah... Look at the close vote reason...
"Problem went away all by itself"
Formatting the USB stick falls under that reason for me...
No?

@Fabby Ah, I see

Good man!

Scratch my previous statement, I have found the "lost" footage :D

@RPiAwesomeness :@

@Fabby
Please do not change that Broadcom answer. I agree with the language corrections, but everything else is wrong
I can explain why

8:27 PM
@Pilot6 Just revert then... I will not be offended! ;-)

I did already. I was just thinking to fix the language at the same time )))
Your commands won't work that way.

@Fabby @Pilot6 which question?

@A.B. Look at my edit history... :P

And why is cp wrong here?

I don't know... I trust @Pilot6 on his own answers...
>:) If he says it's wrong, it's wrong... (maybe because a beginning user can also use the GUI?)

8:34 PM
@A.B. cp is wrong because we do not know where /pool is mounted

:D

it is not /pool actually

Ah ok, make sense

I removerd /

@Pilot6 Do you know how to revert my revisions?
Ah!

8:34 PM
I did revert them
And also Home directory is more clear for newbies than /home/$USER

(nod)

9:01 PM
Smoke! BRB

9:43 PM
@Mateo - you around?

@hbdgaf yep
how goes things

Pretty well. Started playing Payday... someone in the community gifted it to me. Nice to get a hug from time to time.

cool
haven't played that one

It's neat, but there are very few levels without DLC or the sequel. It's an interesting game model though.
4 player co-op shooter, like a few others, but you're doing heists. Rep unlocks weapons/skills/etc. So, it sort of forces replay to get there and play differently. The unlocks make replay a little different though. So, interesting model.

I was kind of disappointed in the wayward pines ending, was getting good - then was like they just ended it to end it.

9:47 PM
Wayward pines was disappointing.
Currently downloading an ubuntu server iso to slick the old laptop since more stuff seems to be working in my winedrive even though PoL says it's not. I just have to do more manual tweaking... my ~/bin looks like "game_wincfg, game2_winecfg. game3_winecfg, game4_native, ida_pro, ...." blah blah blah. the old lappie is going to serve to just operate that other project i'm working on. i'm practicing using lxd to deploy an image to it, fabric to handle dep-fixing, and git hooks+supervisord to
make it just be the blob i'm working with

nice, getting further along

yes, i know how i want it to do what i want now... so it's shoehorning it in to an lxc container with enough disk. decided the reduction set logic was overcomplicating it. if it's in sql, i can just make precomputed fields decision points. then a reduction set reads as from result if bin_flag True etc etc.
stopped work on "more features" and started work on "deploying the basics". thought I needed to be able to see I did something.

I'm working on a scope, currently trying to smash two api's into the same one, trying to get more pictures in there

:) you'll figure it out. if you're not, you might just need a break...
if you know popey, thank him again from me. it really helped clear my head and get me to take a step back and think instead of pushing at a wall.

ah, he is on the community videos, I follow him on twitter, cool guy
did you see his article on porting html5 games to touch?

10:00 PM
I did not.

I'ld have to replace the screen on my old nexus 7 to do anything with it though... so, probs just need to keep poking at the thing I'm already playing with. Reading it though.

I might try to port that gradient chooser, I think it was a html app wraped in a python web browser
maybe not, but looks neat that some games have a straight drop in path to getting on the system

Some of the "hml5 demo games" might be interesting to have. the asteroids sort of one was interesting as an in browser game. let me get a link
i think having toys available out of the box is nice on a handheld.
couldn't find it, but it was a sort of html5 demo of something in between asteroids and life force. like an old-school throwback game with lots of visuals.

10:19 PM
oh, maybe this: blog.sklambert.com/games

it's not in there. it didn't feel like a retro game because of the visuals, but playing it, it felt like a cross between life force, space invaders, and asteroids + graphics.
you're on the right track though, it was on an "html5 is awesome" site as a ...
did you hear cryengine is coming to linux?

yeah heard about it, cool stuff

1 hour later…
11:50 PM
good night all!
