@jrg If I erase any of the partitions or change them to extended it would break the MBR link in the BIOS to Recovery and HP_TOOLS

got the .run from amd, passed it the options to build a .deb, it built a .deb, installed the .debs.

I use to have one static kernel fallback, and then I would try my kernel rebuilds pray they worked. if it failed switch back to the old one. but this was pre initramfs as well

Q: where I can post my request to no removal qt3 libraries from next ubuntu releases?

I know that ubuntu takes 'debian sid' packages to bake next ubuntu and I know that Debian developers currently obsoletes qt3-libraries. Unfortunately I'm still need it because in my company we still use qt3 libraries for our project.

Extra bonus - this will run on other platforms. Why is that important? Well the program can contain two parts - the wizard that gathers the information (which doesn't need an Internet connection) and a small utility that uploads the data to Pastebin, etc. (which does need an Internet connection).

like... sigh.

The utility can then be run on other platforms.

even I'm getting bored talking about "the tool" now.

I would like to know if there will be a SDK or something like that for writing Ubuntu Phone Apps using Python language. I read that C and C++ were the chosen languages for native apps developement but it would be nice to write apps in Python too.

That's why JavaScript makes no sense. At all.

Here, I can explain it to you.

JavaScript performs a number of limited "automatic" type conversions.

For example, running the following will output "402":

psuedo code if you will if (send = "true") { alert("OK") }

alert(40 + "2");

The reason for this is simple: the "40" is converted to a string and prepended to the "2".

I get that. That's perfectly valid.

But how what should be "true" == "true" turns into false, I do not get.

The "checked" property of HTMLInputElement is a Boolean.
