so I got upgrade internet today, and it came with a new gateway. said gateway crashes and reboots itself when I visit speedtest.net.

upgrading to Unity 5, the 2D sprite sorting layers, in 4.6 each layer you made had a nice number you could reference; that's gone now in 5, changed my code to reference the name of the layer instead of the number.
Some audio weirdness too but am investigating (Unity 5 uses a whole new audio system).
but all in all the physics are fine, game runs fine, and still manages to run on my old MacBook Pro from 2007 with OSX 10.6, 2GHz cpu and 1GB RAM heh

hey guys, it takes a while for me to render stuff at 300 samples in blender, would it be possible/good idea to purchase a medium-cost rendering graphic card and be able to just attach to some old computer to leave it rendering?

Or does Blender rendering need a good CPU, i thought most of the work would be done with the graphic card

Hello everyone, today I was thinking about client-server architectures and how one would be implemented for a simple game highscore/chat server, based on UDP.
I have never done this properly before, and I wanted to explore all the different possibilities.
What I thought about was :
* The server has single UDP socket.
* Every client is handled by an heap-allocated ClientHandler object that stores the state of and keeps track of a single client.
* A thread puts data received from the UDP socket into a RECV thread-safe queue.
