So I'm working at a client and the computer they gave me is acting all crappy. Takes like 3 minutes to install a mouse driver. I checked the task manager to find that CPU and RAM weren't the problem though I was surprised that RAM was at 80% utilization because they said that it was a "pretty beefy machine." I just give my PC energy drinks when the battery gets slow. Improves performance by about 25% for an hour or so as well but then it just crashes.

with the mindcrack modpack you can't even make all the possible blocks within the first couple months. there is SO much content in that thing.

with vanilla, after a week you're just playing with redstone and there's almost nothing else to do

not with mods. you're still trying to get more advanced machines after 2 months.

so the sprites other than the one at 0,0 were being drawn wayyyyy offscreen

so from what I'm reading, if a Font family doesn't contain a certain character, Unity tries to pull the character from a fallback font. You can specify the fallback font, and include it in your project even. But does it warn you if a character isn't found in either, and is then using an OS-installed font? Of course not! And so it silently fails on other OSes that don't have whatever it's trying to find
