I have a reliable way to fill up memory (went to 4GB before I decided to kill it) -- that cannot be killed without closing the whole browser-- perhaps doing it in a worker or something will cause problems that can be exploited?
I dislike my firefox, I'm running with an aggressive malloc, and I get a seg. fault 2 - 3 times a day. I wrote to the package maintainer to ask how to go about debugging it to give a proper report, since the man page doesn't like much for getting additional info out of it, and gdb bailed when trying to attach.
Im not biased, I used to be an avid Linux user, now Im back on windows and Linux in a VM. I was forced to use a Mac for a month and actually was rather astonished. Especially battery life and the quality of the screen is al ot better on a Mac than your avergage PC.
