Why is it during a setup of Ubuntu / Debian, it is not possible to select a locale that is not strictly related to the selected language? Are there any drawbacks to using a locale setting different from the selected language?

@Bob I'm finding a solution to run a shutdown task through batch file when system is idle and when it prompts me that your system is about shutdown in idle mode as I again use the PC (idle to working) the task should be aborted.

then write a batch file (or a full program) that takes all of the same parameters (and maybe some more) and does some replacement
like -r could be forwarded as -r -t 60
If you were writing a full program (and not a batch file) it would be trivial to have a message box that will expire after 30 seconds, that has an abort button, etc

You can use Windows+numeric keys to select the task and if there are multiple instances of a single app you can easily swicth with the arrow keys with holding the key combination I told you.
Like if you press the Windows+2 it will switch to the second open app in the list of taskbar.
