Sweet. I have an interview lined up with eNom next week. Technical Support. Mentioning that I've bought domains from them seemed to be helpful in my application. :)
Oo. The Google Doodle today for Alan Turing's birthday is fun.
This is sad: "In 1942, Turing was found guilty of homosexuality. He agreed to be chemically castrated which entailed being given female hormones. Two years later he killed himself at the age of 41."
Without add-ons, you can make use of App Tabs to close all but a few. Let's say you have n tabs that you want to keep open:
Pin tabs Tab[1], Tab[2], Tab[3], ..., Tab[n-1] by right-clicking them and selecting "Pin as App Tab".
Right-click Tab[n] and select "Close Other Tabs".
Now, you will o...
I recieve the memory map from my bootloader.I have purposely installed a RAM in slot 0 and slot 2.I want to remap the memory (RAM) so that I can use the Solt 2 RAM as Slot 1 and remove the holes between Slot 0 and 2.
Is there any way for this?
@JourneymanGeek Yeah. I think that is the only time it matters. But the OP doesn't say any of that. So, we need them to not be so vague and mysterious.
When I try to e-mail my 10-minute videos to my gmail account, but when I try to attach the videos the phone gives me this error: 'File is too large and cannot be attached'. Can't reproduce because my Android is hooked up to USB, but I'll edit--

In theory, it should have worked. If I used a proper RAID controller. Or even Windows software RAID may have worked better.
In any case, the only thing keeping me from dismantling this is the lack of time to pull one drive off RAID, image it using the other drive, use it as the primary boot drive, and pull the other off RAID.
I don't have the time to sort out the multitude of things that could go wrong :P
Google Chrome has been getting worse and worse over the last few months. When I open many (but not all) web pages, as soon as the page is done loading, the browser window goes completely blank.
Others have spoken about this:

two wierd things i noticed. Two of harrymc's answers were invalidly flagged, and someone is flagging anything with HTML as belonging on SO, which is stupid.
As it is, the dos tag is ambiguous. Even the tag wiki excerpt is split:
DOS is an acronym for "Disk Operating System." DoS is an acronym for "Denial of Service." Do not use this tag for questions about Windows command line programs or scripts.
To make matters worse, nobody seems to read th...
During my course of reviewing, editing & general janitorial cleanup, I ran into few tags that were pretty much useless. Since there's too much for me to take action up, I'm posting the list here.
Some guidelines:
Don't just fix the tag; review the question and fix anything else you can fi...
Windows explorer restarts everytime I open the downloads folder in My Documents, I have some video files in it.
I have run virus checks but nothing has been found, also moved the files to another folder but it still happens.
Also if you start mass flagging questions for deleting as part of the clean up (I'm looking at you @KronoS), then it helps if you leave a comment saying why, because else we'd have to do it. Unless its already been closed for several months, those can or should be safely deleted
One phrase - Full Disk Encryption, preferably with a a nice, long, non dictionary key. You might also look at systems that do this with an external keyfile. Basically, since the entire system other than the bootloader is encrypted, short of a direct memory access attack - that is to say use a fir...
@HackToHell Flagging is fine, but the team expects us to leave comments explaining why we deleted stuff. So unless its been closed (for ages) and you still think it should be deleted, you should explain so in a comment
the solution is: flag for delete if closed, vote/flag to close if not
This is a question about the website www.blogger.com.
I am trying to modify my active template like this:
I want to add a github ribbon to my template page, like the ones seen here:

I have tried pasting in the templates in the head tag and in the b...
Btw try to keep a 2-3 month grace period, because we'd like to offer users the chance to redeem their question. I guess it doesn't matter if its crap and/or always going to be off-topic
@oKtosiTe Any other requirements? If you can get an expanded battery, just about any laptop with switchable graphics should fit the battery life requirements.
I have a fun IRC help case. Apparently her mobo is uniquely fubared, and one of her ram sticks blew out... she was asking if having raid would affect recovery off a non bootable system...
at this point, i told her to call someone to help ;p

from a street fighter. i'm right handed 6'1 and 160 lbs. like the others i have no scientific facts to support my claims other than experience. in real fights, you are typically (if not the aggressor) in the position of defense; if you survive you win. if you are on the offense, total submission ...
@IvoFlipse: The reason I don't want to do that (and you should use George instead, although I don't know if his one will be further developed) is because this one was explicitly aimed at SU and might thus start replacing SU specific stuff which would not make sense on others.
@Bob: And you didn't have this before? That's odd. I feel like they must have changed something to their editor because I don't know of any reason why it would be there now. Perhaps you can blame the file if you'd really want to know.
