Is it in any way practical to apply to another role at your very company through the process normal for new hires?

Feb 12, 2022 20:14
@JJJ That, and also Euromaidan (because one time was apparently not enough). I don't have evidence about encouraging the revolution leaders (this should have been done in private), but some things have received coverage.
Feb 12, 2022 20:14
@JJJ Unfortunately, I don't think I'm qualified enough to write such alternative answer. It would not contradict yours, just would target the "real motivation" vs "declared motivation", and the real is, well, real. Ukraine's perspective answers are also not really wrong, but don't mention the fact that Russia has lost non-military struggle for control of Ukraine, with successive color revolutions and all, and who has gained and now has such control. Maybe "control" is too strong of a word for the circunstances, but you get the idea.
Feb 12, 2022 20:14
@JJJ I think I rather agree with Mavri's comment about this being a bit too heavy on NATO's marketing materials and a bit too light on the usual stuff of great-game-paying (or how shall we call it). Not practical enough.
Feb 12, 2022 20:14
@fraxinus ... and does not even host an US base in there and did no trow a fit last time something was done. Things have changed since, but the abilities mostly, not general attitudes. I don't want to start a long argunent in the comments, just to explain my downvote.
Feb 12, 2022 20:14
@JJJ About the spheres of influence, it seems the argument goes roughly like this.

Aug 10, 2021 08:13
@DavidSiegel Well, what "anyone engaging in armed resistance would be" depends on the ultimate outcome, actually. But you are right in that there does not seem to be a solid-enough basis for another revolution in North America.

Can you change your boss? I mean, if he is not the owner of the company, he has a boss of his own, which has a boss of his own, etc. The "no arguments" position of your immediate boss might look rather weak to other people who care about the success of the project.

@quarague Assume you do a fair share of city traffic, have an automatic transmission (Tesla has equivalent), a reasonably-sized engine (Tesla has equivalent) and a real-world (as opposed to manufacturer-advertized) consumption, 8 liters start to seem like a low-ball figure.

Nations are not made by lawyers. You'll have to win a war of seccession agains US goverment, and then win several wars against entities that would try to conquer you. There are reasons why goverments don't generally stay small.

How mighty is that mighty demon? In 3.5, for example, having some casters of, say, level 9 or so, can get you out of almost anywhere, so you would have to have some positive motivation for a party more experienced than that - like a being of greater good asking nicely, riches to be had from the demon, etcetera.

Do you have an idea about what level of competence is required to successfully do what you are told to do and how much it would cost? Do you believe such a level of competence actually exists at all? Whatever the case with technical competences, you clearly demonstrate little success in persuasion department. They don't believe you are unable to do it. You don't believe they can lead the project to success following the course taken. Lack of trust, mutual, and you can quote them on that.

Tight dungeon is exactly the place where the fighter occupies all of the paths between you and the opposition. Cha 18 with diplo is exactly the way to have what's there to be had. Otherwise, yep.
Apr 8, 2015 19:33
"Using a mount past the early levels tends to require that you get one as a class feature..." - or spend more (i.e. level appropriate amount of) cash. That works at least until level 8.
Apr 8, 2015 19:29
Still, have to see it to believe it. Feels way to moronic to be real.
Apr 8, 2015 19:26
"Control Mount in Battle" section that I see is unchanged.
Apr 8, 2015 19:21
I believe Handle Animal does not apply (Ride takes precedence). As for the phrase, it's likely a bad wording. Not clear why the original RAI archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20050201a should not sway the interpretation.
Apr 8, 2015 19:13
Maybe they have just made it explicit that both mount and rider must complete first half of the round before any of them can proceed with the second half. I remember this was unclear from previous rules.
Apr 8, 2015 19:08
Well, I see people's horror, but so far, no major problem with any rule actually cited. Care to pinpoint?
Apr 8, 2015 18:56
paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/skills/ride.html#ride - Mounting or dismounting normally is a move action. Other checks are a move action, a free action...

Riding is not directing, is it?
Apr 8, 2015 18:50
Hi! I would agree with "quite limited", but mounts are extremely cheap. A heavy warhorse is about the price of a suit of armor or a masterwork weapon. Would you agree it is better than a masterwork weapon? It also dominates action economy, all at a price of a second-level potion. Affordable, I'd say.
Apr 8, 2015 18:46
This is an extensive answer and I think there are at least two points that you probably won't disagree with that are not in this answer. While the stats are rather strangely allocated, this should not be a big problem if the player dominates out-of-combat activity and fixes the combat short-term by spending something of which he will surely have more long-term. Of those things to spend, I will once again name (1) money (steep progression with levels) and (2) actions (can always do more). Not necessarily a mount, but you should just mention these two resources and your idea of using them best.
Apr 8, 2015 18:46
Well, then we agree to disagree - I would not dedicate anything to solving a non-problem.
Apr 8, 2015 18:46
Well, you seem not to be getting the joke. I'm quite aware that you can get two traits for a feat and that replicating a feat costs tens thousands gold. This makes no difference for a 2nd level character. You are thinking long-term, but clerics just don't need more power long-term. If anything, they need less. A 3rd level cleric not willing to trade all the feats he already has for one griffon in a world that caps at lvl. 11 would be an utter fool, and that is less than ten thousand gold for whatever number of feats. You should think short-term here. Level 2: horse beats a feat.
Apr 8, 2015 18:46
As for the drawbacks from heavy armor and resource allocation - the scarcity of the resource matters less than it's utility. At 300 gp you can get one heavy warhorse. At 600 gp you get two. Still less than a trait, but much more than a feat. Getting mounted also makes irrelevant quite a lot of heavy armor drawbacks.

(, ), also known as (), is the Hindu goddess associated with empowerment, shakti. The name Kali comes from kāla, which means black, time, death, lord of death, Shiva. Since Shiva is called Kāla—the eternal time—Kālī, his consort, also means "Time" or "Death" (as in time has come). Hence, Kāli is the Goddess of Time and Change. Although sometimes presented as dark and violent, her earliest incarnation as a figure of annihilation of evil forces still has some influence. Various Shakta Hindu cosmologies, as well as Shākta Tantric beliefs, worship her as the ultimate reality or Brahma...
May 8, 2014 16:23
@Aaron Kali build, right.
May 8, 2014 16:09
@Aaron I mostly thought about the benefit over fighter. Magus probably stays.
May 8, 2014 15:51
@Aaron By level 20 these are good physical scores. Besides, you'll get most of your scores from gear and buffs.
May 8, 2014 15:49
@Aaron Oh, sorry then. I cannot really optimize anything above level 15. The power levels are insane by then, I have no idea how are you playing at 40s. Can discuss things, though, review gear etc. What's your gp budget? Also, with level 40 you can go full Magus + Synth. Not sure how much Synth is better than Ftr, but the arms are there, oh yes they are...
May 8, 2014 15:39
@Aaron Any ideas so far? Level, race, etc.
May 8, 2014 15:28
@Aaron Some Pathfinder? Can do.
Feb 10, 2013 05:00
Hello!
Feb 7, 2013 13:33
Maybe I'll do. But then again, maybe it won't be necessarily. Currently I am the only not-really-caster person in the group (on purpose, I tend to be active), so if I am to understand my need to pursue wealth and work it with the party, that could be fine too.
Feb 7, 2013 13:11
Yes. Since in this type of game the consequences of player's actions are generally blamed on them, it could be thought as a sure thing, but then if it REALLY affects party balance, this is a DM's concern too.
Feb 7, 2013 12:56
The sandbox game I was referring to is planned to be something like this: arsludi.lamemage.com/index.php/78/… - the players are to be given a world, but not given a victory condition. I am not on the DM side of the table, so my question rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/21968 was less of "what should I do" and more "what should be dont to me" sort of thing.
Feb 7, 2013 12:50
Hello there.

May 8, 2014 15:29
@Aaron Hi there

Mar 31, 2013 18:16
@Lord_Gareth Not compared to human fighters. Relative to ToB... well, maybe.
Mar 31, 2013 18:05
Also, elven clerics (especially archers) do not need helluvalot of con (especially at low levels), because teir AC is solid, it's useful at low levels, and the build does not go to front line. They can tolerate missing 1..2 hp just fine.
Mar 31, 2013 18:03
Well, apparently I should have clarified that those healing spells are to be used mostly after combat (i.e. when human fighter sits and does nothing). You mostly shoot arrows in combat.
