personally I don't like that and confuses me in general, rather than help me in reading english. But perhaps for someone that doesn't know the very very basic of english
Martin, do you think it's worth to mention on meta the option of translation of the site (using google translate, or it is to meh ) to a different language other than english ?
@XanderHenderson ah, I thought \times was ok instead of * which disappeared in the format. I didn't know that the 32 points needed to be in code style.
@XanderHenderson oh ok, thanks. Yes the title was stretched, I thought would be better to be as explicit as possible and hence adding the condition y\in[0,1]
Why was my edit rejected math.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/1404307 ? I edited the title: How to solve this equation ? (hard analysis problem) to How to solve $ f(y) \int_0^1 \frac{e^{-\frac{(x-y)^2}{2}}}{\int_0^1 e^{-\frac{(x-z)^2}{2}} f(z) dz} dx =1\quad y \in [0,1]$?
@XanderHenderson I know, but my question was for the last version, the one with attempt. So again: if the question above would have a descriptive title (no MathJax) would have you agree on having it on the HNQ?
@XanderHenderson "I find clickbaity links or question titles offensive." I think you are taking it too personal. I don't think it's intentional, not in the particular case above. On the other side, you might be right for some other cases. Question: if the question above would have a descriptive title (no MathJax) would have you agree on having it on the HNQ?
@MattSamuel idk, perhaps would be better to ask on meta. I read his question (1st version) and saw no problem at all regarding 'potentially bad keyword in body'
In case someone can't stand a user _anymore_ (even tho it was politely asked to not to ping anymore..), click on their gravatar on chat and below you'll see a box: ignore this user
but then I did notice that this user changed his profile text to a more 'acceptable one' and removed the one quoted. Now, my flag was helpful but I don't if it was because of the first version or the second version of his profile. Just to note that, don't think I was overreacting with my flag note/message, i wrote that because of the first version of his profile text info
Hello. I have a question, Do moderators can see what have been on the profiles? // The thing is that, hours ago I saw a profile of a user and among a lot of unpleasant things to read, there was this "I created coronavirus to kill millions of people", so I flagged and explained a little about it
@BillDubuque This is how I see it. Mods started this thread, they established their rules.. fine. Lets respect it. Even if one of them don't deserve our respect
