whatever you mentioned related to authentication is very helpful.. My Network Admin.. has to include the SQL Authentication ( User Account ) in his folder accessible previliage . .. "Everyone" will not be helpful. It has to be specific to the user account

I have another server... i tested this query and folder connection .. it works great from another server. However this specific server / database which i am trying to access this folder path is not working

I agree with you.. it was working before... after db restore, this issue started happening. But How do i fix this ? What exactly i have to do with sys.dm_server_services syntax, i will do the same

@Tim, you are right .. my actual health insurance cost is around $300 per month, which i use it yearly once check up / flu shot. I dont think, there is any where close by $200 offered through my employer

I agree with you to avoid the Production Server. I think for time being, i will go with Production Server.

I had an issue in the past around 2009. I was running a copy of the original database in the same instance. Although copy database had a different name. It was mistakenly mapped to original database .mdf / .ldf. So it was not a copy. Anyways, i will avoid such situations
