@jkerian I agree. It seems to me though that beginners who often use romaji also struggle to write questions in a clear way so for me the reason for hostile reaction is often not very clear. Having said that, hostile reaction shouldn't happen anyway.
Oct 7, 2014 05:11
Yes, I guess leaving romaji and adding kana is better
Oct 7, 2014 05:09
Is that a good idea?
Oct 7, 2014 05:08
I saw a few questions edited into kana/kanji from romaji recently.
Oct 7, 2014 05:05
It wasn't the first time I heard something like that hinted though... From the same person.
Oct 7, 2014 05:04
@snailboat Maybe. Or maybe not. Anyway, I deleted it as it wans't a good idea to write it.
Sep 26, 2014 03:19
Back to work now...
Sep 26, 2014 03:19
Ok, thanks
Sep 26, 2014 03:19
It seemed to me that OP did a translation from English and wanted to really ask about vocative...
Sep 26, 2014 03:18
Yes, I changed it later to say that the subject of the English sentence is "you". After the change suggested in comments 何を当てた -> 何が当たった the sentence has a clear subject anyway.
Sep 26, 2014 03:15
Ok, thanks :)
Sep 26, 2014 03:12
Hi @snailboat, how are you? I have a question about the "bro" question. The discussion in comments went sideways (I wish I hadn't started it) but is my answer good or not? If not, I'll remove it.
Sep 4, 2014 09:52
We've had some upsets here recently, it seems. I hope it will get better soon.
Sep 4, 2014 09:50
Hello snailboat, how are you?
Aug 14, 2014 12:05
Have to go, speak to you later!
Aug 14, 2014 11:55
I never met anyone having pet snails before.
Aug 14, 2014 11:55
That's all very interesting.
Aug 14, 2014 11:54
Do you tell them apart by the pattern on the shell?
Aug 14, 2014 11:53
Eating banana?
Aug 14, 2014 11:51
How many do you have? Different kinds?
Aug 14, 2014 11:50
How long does it take for a snail to eat that much lettuce?
Aug 14, 2014 11:49
Yes, I saw that too :)
Aug 14, 2014 11:48
I was just looking at the starred images and we have quite a lot of snails here for a Japanese language website ;)
Aug 14, 2014 11:45
My slow period here coincided with a slow period of my Japanese learning. I'm trying to get back to it now.
Aug 14, 2014 11:43
Mine is 138 days, 138 consecutive. Never missed a day since joining :)
Aug 14, 2014 11:42
Well, I'll never catch you
Aug 14, 2014 11:41
Even got a badge for it :)
Aug 14, 2014 11:41
But I've been on the main site all the time :)
Aug 14, 2014 11:40
Hello everyone, I haven't been here for loooong time.
May 26, 2014 12:12
Thanks, see you later!
May 26, 2014 12:11
I think I need some sleep... Sorry for just dropping by for a minute but I need to say good bye for now.
May 26, 2014 12:09
@snailboat Very good use of time, I should say.
May 26, 2014 12:07
True, it does give up.
May 26, 2014 12:07
Anyway, how are you?
May 26, 2014 12:06
I didn't really break it.
May 26, 2014 12:06
It does, actually
May 26, 2014 12:06
Which is very appropriate ;)
May 26, 2014 12:05
With "This is silly"
May 26, 2014 12:05
I think I broke the translation party
May 10, 2014 10:45
It's really nice chatting to you both but I've got to go or at least become not very active. See you later!
May 10, 2014 10:43
Compared to me. I'm 5 years older.
May 10, 2014 10:43
That makes it a bit easier to start young.
May 10, 2014 10:41
Me too. I'm soooo behind.
May 10, 2014 10:37
You know what I find secretly very satisfying: when my Japanese teacher can't remember some kanji.
May 10, 2014 10:35
@snailboat I think there's more kanji that I can store in my head.
May 10, 2014 10:35
:)
May 10, 2014 10:35
SQL is my forte so if you need anything, ask me.
May 10, 2014 10:33
Data explorer is really nice, it allows a lot of interesting analysis, there's almost everything exposed in there.
May 10, 2014 10:32
@hippietrail Same for me.
May 10, 2014 10:31
Yes, 3 is useful.
