@xtropicalsoothing What a waste of soap
Thu 21:17
Note: I may end up swapping over to the Discord. Now that there's a bridge between the networks, I no longer have a reason to keep using this site just to chat with you guys, and frankly the entire SE network has become so toxic and hostile the past years that the only thing I consider worth attempting to salvage from it is the parasocial relationships I formed over it

'Gaslight-driven development': ChatGPT was convinced this app had a feature it didn't, so the devs decided to add it in anyway - PC Gamer pcgamer.com/software/ai/…

> [Great Gurianos] was an Arcade Port and I did the graphics. It was nasty and I ran out of memory to actually finish the game, so I made the last boss impossible to kill. (There is no ending to the game!
Mon 21:12
And can multiple people play the same game in the same session?
Mon 20:57
@Wipqozn Yeah, that's what I mean
Mon 20:55
So question: that Archipelago thing doesn't cause any "loops", right? Where player A needs player B to progress, and player B needs player C to progress, and player C needs player D, but then player D needs player A?
Jul 19 21:30
I'm wondering if I might be able to share my library with my brother and vice versa
Jul 19 21:30
Is it still the case that you both need to log into each other's machines at least once to share your library? Or can that be done remotely now?
Jul 19 21:23
@xtropicalsoothing Can you play games that are shared with you while the other guy is using Steam to play a different game? Or can you only play if the other guy isn't playing?
Jul 17 17:43
@murgatroid99 Merde is a fairly tame curse word. It's closer to "shit"
Jul 15 11:22
relevant

I'm surprised your 650 still works. That's a 13 year old GPU. Driver support for it stopped ages ago
Jul 14 20:31
But honestly, you may be better off saving money for a computer upgrade, because if your GPU is a GTX 650, I shudder to think what the rest of your PC might look like
Jul 14 20:30
CS2 is also an option
Jul 14 20:30
Esports titles are generally VERY light on the GPU
Jul 14 20:30
@xtropicalsoothing Marvel Rivals might work
Jul 11 13:18
@ave Yeah, I stopped using the network besides chat because I don't consider it useful anymore
Jul 11 13:16
They've examined how much AI helps programmers. It actually slows them down

@Memor-X If you make it in Google Sheets it's easier to share
Jul 11 13:10
@Memor-X Can I see the list somewhere?
Jul 11 07:55
From what I understand, their intent is to choose shape of the design elements now, not the color. Which I think is an equally stupid idea
Jul 10 19:51
Go take a walk, listen to Spotify while you're walking. Play videogames that didn't have AI create them. Read books that were written by human authors. Watch stuff on %streaming_service%.
Jul 10 19:50
Or maybe just exercise?
Jul 10 19:50
... Any creative works that DO NOT involve AI?
Jul 10 19:48
@xtropicalsoothing There are plenty of things you can do in life that don't involve the systematic annihilation of our environment and culture
Jul 10 13:45
@murgatroid99 I like to use Gemini to help me with more complex Googling tasks that require a lot of searching and collation of results. I recently had it make an analysis of 1440P OLED monitors available in Belgium for under 600 EUR, and it did a fairly good job at that. But a bit thing is that I don't accept the AI's word as gospel. I do check the sources it used myself to see if those match what it found
Jul 7 19:22
@TobiasF. I finally got the time to read it. I don't really understand what the Krakens are doing in this, but sure
Jul 7 14:40
Like, is that a spell or something?
Jul 7 14:40
I actually wanted to see the homebrew thing you found
Jul 7 14:37
@TobiasF. I got access to paid content through the RPG stack campaign
Jul 7 14:33
to that Tiamat thing
Jul 7 14:33
Do you have a link?
Jul 7 14:26
@Batophobia Starring this so it can be pinned

@User1865345 newsweek.com/2024-election-results-lawsuit-documents-2091077 Basically, it hinges on 2 unlikely results: 1. an Independent candidate who earned fewer votes than she should have based on sworn testimonies that people voted for her; And a country with hundreds of Democratic downballot votes but no Harris votes, which is stastically unlikely
Thu 18:24
there have been counties where more people have made sworn affidavits that they voted for Kamala Harris than there have actually been votes for Harris in that county
Thu 18:22
In addition, I believe that the election was rigged by Musk
Thu 18:22
So not even his base can agree that it's the right thing to do
Thu 18:21
Also, if you look at the actual desirability of his policies and the promises he has fulfilled, usually less than 30% of the people actually want them
Thu 18:20
@User1865345 insane people don't count
Thu 18:02
@User1865345 Too bad none of his promises actually were improvements to the country
Jul 16 16:19
Already GOP propagandists are deflecting by saying that releasing the Epstein Files would be the government publishing child pornography
Jul 16 16:19
@Memor-X They won't
Jul 16 13:50
@User1865345 His approval rating is NEVER going to drop below 40%. That's the percentage of people in his maga cult

Apparently Texas Senator Angela Paxton has announced she's divorcing her husband, Texas AG Ken Paxton on Biblical grounds. and based on a message from the Republican party, "Biblical grounds" might be newspeak for "he's a pedo"
