Independence Day is just a cover up for the truth, get the message out there so that all of the "sane" people can claim the "crazies" have just watched too many movies
Why do power hungry idiots go around reporting new users like myself from asking questions which are irrelevant? I went and answered all their questions. Like how do I change an ip table for this ip address and port forwarding? Like what Pretensions’ idiot is asking on how to make a firewall and ...
Gaming seems to get many more one-off terrible questions from new users. the question ban is only useful for people who ask lots and lots of terrible questions
@BenBrocka "Hey, kids! Today, I'm going to teach you about the practical applications of physics! To be specific, what happens when two objects attempt to occupy the same space at the same time! Isn't science fun?"
ok; I'm game... I've enabled a "grace" system that relaxes the rules just a little (not much) - and only applies to the "new" and "edit" actions. It allows quick 2-liners, or ninja edits - but after that one action, you're back to normal rules. Deploying now. Let me know your opinions...
On my site it would be nice if people would be able to upload videos so content could be shared for free. What upgrades should I do to achieve this? Also does anyone know an algorithm to detect network speed or compression method for video files streamed across a broadband? – Alex

This ending, of course, makes Arnold the hero instead of Janet. Among arriving back to Earth, all Arnold got from the freeze-over was a cold, and then the alien-obsessed Ralphie fakes a news announcement about aliens discovered on Pluto, complaining about the junk Janet left.
@fredley I'm not a PHP writer. I "help" randomly with Gentoo stuff... not a programmer infact. Just a random sysadmin who has some wide views of "stuff". I see a lot :D
@fredley Ok then, I once touched php when writing my disseration for my comp sci degree. Because I had to program in "something". I touched it again for random stuff on my non-existant website. :D

@fredley I tried it once many years ago and got utterly confused. However this learning series is actually working for me.... and then when I'm randomly looking over at the coders assisting, I have some idea of what the C they are looking at is doing :o
The funniest part is how I keep pointing out the source of a bug in their code, which then takes them 20 minutes to come to the same conclusion. I guess its due to me seeing it from a different pov.
Thankfully they trust me enough to ask about anything system specific, especially when it comes to fixing file system issues (which they have a lot of right now).
