mora.... "easy" to get from ley lines (still, I don't get how some high level players claim to be "swimming" in mora... either they whaled enough to build every single character and now they don't need to spend more or I don't know)...

Boss mat.... at least you can generate more easily enough (-> do boss, get 2-3 drops on average)

the talent items... a little harder since tied to weekly boss == only one/two per week. Do not underestimate the dream solvent I guess...

Yet, ironically... the cursed item has to be something else...

Suppose you want to ascend Klee. Lev 90 is 20 Everflame seed and 6 gems.

The seed comes from Pryo vine. Since the boss type matches the gem, you are pretty confident to get pyro fragments.

On an average of 2 seed/run, you need to do the boss 10 times to get the required seed. YET, 10 runs won't give you 6 gems. Your balance will be in deficit.

Characters like Ayaka are even worse. She needs an item dropped by a non-elemental boss.

The array drops cryo and geo fragments, so now the loot table is polluted. Sometime you may not even get a cryo fragment. By the time you get 20 cores, you will be missing even more gems than you did with Klee.

And at least Ayaka only has TWO drops polluting her table (and the geo fragments can be used for Tails, who just happens to use the same boss item)

What about XIAO?

Jade is used by Xiao, Hu-Tao and Yanfei. The lizard can decide it wants to give you hydro...

Anyway... for some reason the most cursed gem of them all seems to be the Anemo one... Can't never find one when you need it

or - if you're as unlucky as me with the gacha then you can buy dust of azoth from the stardust exchange, and the gem type becomes almost a non-issue :)

talk of the PMA takes me back to when I first pulled ayaka and it probably took me 10 minutes to kill it...ah the days of being an innocent n00b

Even if you are able to use the dust to change the gem types, my central point is that in order to get enough drops for 6 gems you probably need much more than 10 runs of a boss, while on average 10 runs are enough to get the 20 boss specific items

I don't think it gets better even if you factor in the full ascension tree from level 1 to 90. It is true that the first levels require less elemental gemstones, but they also require less boss tokens, so it probably still leaves you missing gems.

My problem:
1) After already farming the hypostasises and regisvines too many times just for the secondary materials, I need to repeat that even more times just to slowly farm tier 2 gems to craft the tier 4 ones.

Chasm was missed opportunity.

Should have included a boss that only dropped double gems fragments compared to the others but no boss token.

Considering it is a mine, it would even make sense....

there's a couple of comments on there saying that it's the opposite for them (too many gems) and honestly it's the same for me

right now I have quite the surplus of gems

Should be a clear example of what I mean by imbalance.

1 gemstone -> 3 chunks -> 9 fragments-> 27 slivers

a W7 drop.

basically 2 fragments.

7 more and you get ONE gem

in the meantime you have two hears. 18 left, 9 runs if you are really unlucky.

Either I am missing something obvious or it is seriously imbalanced towards gems scarcity.

I guess this is why people recommend leaving most characters at 80

Dendro archeon will still follow the "slime" theory.

Dendro archeon is indeed chibi body model but with a twist.

She is based on BOTH Theresa and Kiana.

the character is small normally, turns into Theresa version during burst.

Burst massively increases damage output and defence. Cons, the base version is basically a Qiqi.

could also be possible that the chibi version has big defence and elemental resistence while the adult version sacrifices all defence for attack boost (think Itto but even more extreme)

Note: from what I can gater, Honkai Theresa is indeed a gamer/manga geek.

So... it fits.
