@Xnero You seem to have had your Meta Stack Exchange and Stack Overflow profiles deleted, which has also lost you your Meta Stack Exchange and Stack Overflow chat IDs unless you recreate those profiles and somehow regain those chat profiles. (I think that's how that works, anyway) - So users.yml will need to have those nulled out, unless you planned on recreating those profiles?
Question is @Xnero, what were you nuking and recreating accounts for? Are you looking for a fresh start (including Charcoal, i.e. reset privs and back to basics)? Or something else?
Likely, the chat account was parented to a different account, that account was deleted, which took the chat account with it, so a new chat account had to be created with the single standing SE account (on Travel).
@Xnero Ah, OK, well that does seem kind of odd. Maybe you want to give us some more details here, so we can understand what you were trying to do and feel more comfortable that the world is not crumbling around us?
@Xnero So here’s the deal: we’re seeing a lot of strangeness. None of which implies bad behavior, but we’re wary of things we don’t understand. Chat IDs changing is something we don’t understand. Requesting MS account deletion around the same time a chat ID changes is a compounding factor. So we don’t want to do anything until we know what’s going on here.
@Xnero Seems odd to me that (a) both of those things happened at basically the same time (and site account deletions too?), (b) you won't explain when asked but just repeat your request. The only conclusion that seems likely to me is that you requested deletion of your SE accounts (some/all) too, and your chat account was included in that, hence why your ID changed.
And if that's the case then, as you say, you're entitled to make that request for metasmoke or SE accounts as you like, but the fact that you're being very cagey about it, refusing to explain anything, and just repeating a request without trying to work with us... does not fill me with confidence.
@ArtOfCode I said that I don’t know why my Chat ID changed. It was probably deleted and recreated. (although I didn’t know it was deleted in the first place)
@Xnero What Undo said. That doesn't just happen without something causing it. Either you, or someone/thing else deleted and recreated it, as far as we can tell. If it was you or at your request, you'll be able to tell us what happened and clear this up.
