@Deusovi true, but it brings to mind moving backward while one's attention is still forward, whereas a reversal of a word is having it turn completely around… I'm probably not making much sense here, but somehow or other I was never really happy with "retired" as a reversal indicator (though I'd certainly use it myself. It's very common)
