@Makyen Oops, you did it again ...

1:07 AM
@Rob Yes, I did it again. This second one was just plain stupid on my part. Unfortunately, our new backup also got wiped at about the same time, due to unrelated issues, so there's even more data loss. In total, we will have lost a bit over an additional month flag log data. Obviously, I've also cost ArtOfCode and Undo the additional work of restoring the flag logs from the older backup we do have, again.

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad keyword in answer (1): I had pre-marital intercourse, can I be forgiven? by Muhammad on islam.SE

@Rob np. Thank you. My comment is 100% frustration at myself for clicking the button a second time, not a reflection on you, or you bringing it up. The situation hits multiple buttons for me. I don't like it when I make a mistake where I really should know better. I don't like loosing data. I really don't like making more work for other people in order to clean up a mess I've made.
But, I believe the important thing isn't that you make no mistakes, it's what you do in response to having made one. In a nutshell, you should: take responsibility for your actions; change/correct what was done as much as possible; if it caused harm, apologize and make amends to the extent possible/reasonable; and learn from the experience, so it doesn't happen again.

@Makyen I'm hoping to get my workstation built by the year end (the CPU, Milan, isn't available yet and the GPU card is unannounced ATM); No matter, as the months pass I can save more money to put towards it. --- Then I can be of more help, it's equally frustrating (to what you wrote) to do things on a cellphone; looking at 3 mm high type one-eyed through a magnifying glass. A bonus is that my browser (with all my Tabs) underwent a major rewrite, and is broken; so the chat text entry area
floats around and obscures the last comment from the prior user much of the time.
Once I'm up and running I can see about implementing something like a journeling file system and rollback (like VMWare). Instant undo of one's errant button presses or miscreant software.

@Rob I hope the new machine is everything you desire it will be. I know you've been waiting a while. I'm sure it will be a relief to finally get it.
@Rob Ouch. That sounds quite inconvenient. Maybe use a different browser???

@Makyen I don't really think you should be responsible for that incident; it is mostly me creating random account on prod and a software bug one won't really expect. A fix has since been merged/deployed and there shouldn't be future issues w.r.t. deleting accounts.

Rob
It's worth the wait because technology took a huge leap this past 1 1/2 years without a price increase. So waiting saved investing in something that is old 6 months later. It's somewhat better than waiting for the next cellphone model with the slightly better screen, the past year and the next six months coming will amount to a doubling of speed / capacity / stability etc. All for about the same price as a year ago. So that's worth waiting for.
As to the browser there's no way to transfer the Tabs on Android, if it were desktop there'd be no problem; but the utilities (plugins) don't load on FF Android. Many are frustrated by this and have left comments in Google Play Store.

@user12986714 I understand, but, ultimately, the responsibility for pressing the button the second time is on me. It's my responsibility to be aware of what the known/expected effects of such actions will be, and use good judgement in acting, or not acting. I failed. That's life. We deal with it. I learn from it and do better next time. Yes, there were lots of things that had to fall into place in order for it to happen, many of which, if they had been different, would have made it less bad.
We all can, and should, learn from the overall situation (e.g. make sure you have backups, and that they are in more than one place). But, it's not the end of the world. Nobody died. It's just inconvenient and frustrating. It's going to cost ArtOfCode and Undo time and effort to rectify. But, we will get to the best point that we can ... and move on, having learned to do better.

@user12986714 I'd have to look at the code wrt. the flag for admin. I could go either way on that one. Moderators are not automatically granted blacklist manager permission, nor any role on MS. We do normally given them Flagger and Reviewer, but that is not an automatic process. They are automatically granted SD privileges.
@SmokeDetector @user12986714 Why do you feel this is TP?

@Makyen It looks like a promotion for specific VPN services
@Makyen See also revision history
@Makyen The flag option is hidden from unauthenticated users, but there appears to be specific code logic intended to handle cases where the user is not signed in.

@user12986714 Those are relatively well known services. There are no affiliate properties in the URL. I'm not really seeing it as spam.

@Makyen The revision history indicates the author posted the first version with no link, deleted the post and edited in the link, and undeleted the post.
I will dump reports here as email is proven not working.

Urban Dictionary definition: Onosecond: The horrible moment when you realise that you have accidentally done something very slightly wrong which has very bad (usually embarassing) implications for you. This is typically the moment of realisation that you just sent a dirty text message to a close member of family, typically your mother, rather than the intended recipient.

This is more a software bug, and no one is expected to or is responsible for foreseeing it. We do, however, learned the importance to have backups and proper code review/audit.

@Makyen Where can you flag for admin? I don’t see that option...

@asing177 Each chat room here on Stack Exchange/Stack Overflow has a particular focus. Each room has a description which you can find at the top of the right-sidebar (browser), and/or on the room's info page (browser and mobile version). This room's description is a bit tongue-in-cheek, so I understand your confusion as to what goes on here.
This room's focus is on the Charcoal project, which is primarily about finding and eliminating spam and rude/abusive content in posts on all Stack Exchange sites. This is done primarily by evaluating reports generated by the SmokeDetector bot and taking action on the posts which those reports are about, when the post needs some moderation.
I understand your desire to post your question/message in a room that has a lot of recent traffic, but you should resist that desire. In most rooms, people tend to react quite negatively when someone comes in and asks about something that's not on-topic for the room, particularly if it's quite a bit off. I strongly recommend you read a room's description prior to posting and any FAQ or information linked from the description.
Overall, this isn't the right room for what you are asking about. You might want to try looking at the list of rooms on Stack Exchange Chat, and/or the list of rooms on Stack Overflow Chat. Those pages have a search function, which might help you find a room that's appropriate for what you want.
@Daniil That's a good question. I'm not sure where that disappeared to, but it sure explains why I haven't see any admin flags in a while. :;
