The Awkward Silence

according to the tracking of my package all odds point to being delivered today at the usual time which I get the mail, no one is there to receive it :(

They'll give you a paper for it to be picked up at the nearest post office but normally I could only do that on the next working day

Still, gonna try go there to see if i'm lucky

Basically there is no way i can do anything about it when already in distribuition

Yeah, that may be tricky... Here we don't need to write a note unless you don't want that to happen. Delivery drivers over here would know my mom was a stay at home mom, she was the 'local pick up point' :P

I know this because I had a package coming from amazon which was not this way; they tried to deliver on 3 separate days to my place

I just wished they dropped the paper and i would pick it up but no, on the 4th day they left it on the post office

Hmm.

I think it used to be 2 delivery attempts, then pick up at the post office/pick up point.

Now they've made that down to 1 delivery attempt, because if you're not home on Wednesday at 1 pm, you're often also working on Thursday at the same time :P

then there is the 'CTT Expresso' which is their 'better way' of sending packages

goes through 3 attempts in my case scenario

E.g. over here you can usually choose a delivery time slot when ordering (for free, unless you want same day delivery), but if they take a second delivery attempt, you can change the date/time for free.

which is often more expensive that the shipping itself
what happened is because i knew no one was on the door for the entire week to change delivery to the post office, you gotta pay for that on their 'better service'

Our postal services have an app. You can sign up for that, and besides seeing which packages are coming you can also see letters that will be delivered. Basically, every piece of postage for your address....

Mom already knows what she's getting for Mother's Day now :|

Including pens, notebook, a pen holder with RGB and clock , flashlight keychains and probably the most valuable thing there is a red Ferrari jacket

<rant> got a printer from someone and he said that the printer only works on xp, fair
Installing it in w10 doesn't work properly so I installed a xp vm to see if it works

Everytime i try to scan something the printers scans it but the windows scanner app crashes, the lexmark app too

The driver said it was compatible with vista so I also installed a vista vm but same issue as XP

Now i wonder, how da heck did the printer supposedly worked 10 years ago but not now? </rant>

this is my attempt of not buying a new printer for the sake of it because
- most are out of stock
- my current one apart from printing crooked pages, every time you buy a new color cartridge for it it works fine the first days and then it just goes either purple or blue-ish

in a desperate attempt to extract working drivers from that machine to mine

by definition, everything that works with vista should work with windows 7 and should work with w10 too :P

if you want, make a partition & install older windows there
