@Kulfy I saw, sorry I didn't complete my thought, I meant that the title was misleading

@Zanna I thought you were talking about tags since question as tagged with git as well.

@Kulfy yeah, I think my last thought as I was falling asleep was "Kulfy probably thought I was talking about the tag, even though he removed it"
I was doing too many things at once and way past bed time XD

lol

not sure whether the title was that bad - I mean maybe an answer explaining how to install git in this scenario would be a good thing
but I think it's just a case of fixing the error and then sudo apt install git
which they already know how to do... so
@Kulfy I think that error arises with custom packages and mixed repositories. Not sure about possible architecture conflict in this case, but I think you are right, though I held off voting to close in case there's something special going on

@Zanna The title was very much vague. Now it tells at least something about the issue.
@Zanna Yeah. Generally conflicting libraries from packages.

(It's not a very good answer, but it would continue to answer the question even if the link broke, so it's not link-only.)

Is this an answer?

@EliahKagan No one needs to read that. In Stack Overflow with its large reviewer base an answer like that would have no chance of surviving.

Actually it's obviously not an answer to the question. It doesn't say what #!/bin/sh is or what #!/bin/bash or (nor even what sh and bash are). Sorry.

^^ The command slightly differs from the answer it refers to, but the purpose of the post is to say thanks (to report that another answer worked). And the slight difference is not itself helpful.
Also, I think that first comment, with the "link" link, can be flagged as no longer needed. The second dupe comment covers it and is way more useful.
This post adds nothing at all and is not clearer than the answer whose advice it duplicates.

This question is in LQP queue. I think it can be improved. There's a pending edit suggestion. Please approve/improve that. I have already reviewed 20 suggestions for the day.

Thanks. I'll look at it now.
@Kulfy Sorry, did you mean the edit suggestion itself could be improved? I looked it over and approved it.

@EliahKagan Yeah the suggestion which would improve the post.

Ah, okay. Good. My approval of the suggestion should help with that. The edit suggestion needs one more review.

Yeah.
Does editing in review queues override any pending edit suggestion? I was about to post regarding that on Meta Stack Exchange

No. Whether you edit in the Suggested Edits queue or from some other review queue, the current behavior of the system is the same as when you just click Edit on the post (except the UI may be a bit different).
You may still want to ask on MSE though. I don't have anything to cite for that except personal experience.

10:52 AM
In suggested edit, "Improve Edit" is a thing. But in review queue it isn't. And will reject the pending edit as "Conflicted with some other subsequent edit"
I think.

I think you should be able to click Improve Edit in the review queue.
If you don't see it, that's odd.
Oh.
Sorry.
Yeah if there's another edit other than the one you are seeing in the review queue then it may not let you.
But that's still not different from the way editing works otherwise.
You might try reloading the review item (by reloading the page in your browser).

I have already reviewed this. There's an edit pending. But you might get "Edit" button. Can you please try on this and revert back?

Oh, interesting.
I do see an Edit button but it doesn't show me the pending edit.
I can "review" the pending edit if I go to the page, though.
But this is apparently a difference between editing from the LQP queue and other editing (whether in other review queues or otherwise).

@EliahKagan I think either I'm not clear or you're confused. Please edit that and see if it overrides the current pending edit
@EliahKagan That's natural IMO.

I'm 100% sure that I was confused or mistaken. I'll try to edit now.
I was able to edit that item from the queue.

10:57 AM
@EliahKagan I think it'll go for all queues. May be except first posts.

My edit overrode the pending edit.

@Kulfy Editing in the First Posts, Late Answers, and Suggested Edits queue should work the same as editing from the post directly.

Is this a bug then? Should I post on MSE?

It does seem odd that you don't get to review the pending edit.
It's treating it the same as if I had started editing the post earlier, or as if I had edited the latest revision from the revision history. (Submitting an edit done on a specific revision--including the newest--causes any pending edit to be rejected, but unlike other rejections, that rejection doesn't count against the user who suggested the edit. That is, it does not bring them any close to an automatic temporary edit ban.)

10:59 AM
Yeah. And it might waste the efforts of <2k rep users.

In both those cases, the behavior of the system is deliberate. In the case you have observed, I think it may be considered a bug.
Yeah, it would even let me edit that post even though I already reviewed and approved the edit there (which still needs at least one more review).

That's IMO is expected since LQP and Suggested edit queues aren't linked and system doesn't check pending edit.
Strange things 4

Anyway, I definitely think it would be reasonable to post on MSE about this.
@Kulfy Yeah, it's only that the system doesn't check the pending edit that I find weird and think should probably be considered a bug.

@EliahKagan I posted. Feel free to edit the post.

11:18 AM
@Kulfy Thanks. Regarding the title, does this happen in queues other than LQP?

May be yes. I'll trying to find a post in CV queue that has pending edit at least.

Thanks.

Yes it is with CV also. See Glorfindel's comment on my question.

Oh, right. Because the CV queue also treats editing specially.

Yeah.
