I'm going to take a look at what's needed to bring an instance up.
I'd suspect MS too, but it appears to be fine, at least from my view of it (i.e. just hitting a few web pages and API endpoints). I was tempted to reboot it, just in case, but have not done so. It doesn't look like we have error logs at this time. I was afk, and came back to find it in the current state.
@Nick_Craver Aware of any SE websocket instability/changes lately? We're trying to track down an issue that randomly kills SmokeDetector instances. I'm kinda suspecting WS issues.
When I clicked on that link above is said 42 minutes for: "► Applescript to manipulate chrome at crontab don't work " but now, a couple of minutes later it says 1 hour. As to the rest of my comment 11 blocks* of comments up we can see I had activity between 15:26 and 16:27; which I guess if we round off times so roughly it is 2 hours.

@Makyen I'd suggest that it would be great if we could start looking at the feed from two hours ago, so we didn't miss anything, but if it was choking on having taken too big a bite then I guess that's not helpful.

I think I've seen Smokey come back from some sort of timeout conundrum after a longish time, but unclear what struggles exactly it finally managed to resolve (if that is indeed what happened here)
So, I've spun up an EC2 instance and gotten through the list of setup commands on this page. I'm at the point in the instructions of editing the config file. I suspect at this point I should ask for the SD credentials (transferred via keybase, I assume), but is there anything else I need to do?

My own testing instance correctly detected the edited post, because I'm running it in China so network latency is much higher, effectively avoided the "initial revision" that did not contain the link.
