Occasionally my Git installation decides to commit using my real name, and I don't really want it plastered in a searchable place alongside my SE identity
It's trivial for most of you to figure out who I am; more concerned about people from IRL figuring out who I am here. I want to be the gatekeeper on that one.

OK, I got it.
@gbianchi cc @Undo @ArtOfCode You may want to take a look at that. I think I'm not authorized to make the decision (to enable commands & feedbacks there)

or just Smokey privs in general for a specific room for reporting?

Q: What's rude, abusive or spam about this answer?

0xC0000022LToday as I was reviewing a few low quality posts I came across one where I got this message: STOP! Look and Listen. This was an audit, designed to see if you were paying attention. You didn't pass. This post has severe quality issues. It is abusive nonsense, noise, spam, blatantly of...

@Undo I mean, it's one string now, so commit['author'][0] is only it's first character

... oh

You can take a look at the first function of globalvars.py to get some insights

CI on 4df131a succeeded. Message contains 'autopull', pulling...

4:40 PM
It's not as simple as pretty=%an, but mixed information separated by newlines and the pretty format %an is taken as a whole after splitting the string

@ThomasWard sorry.. and thanks @iBug. Charcoal was activated for room "The Terminal", room 84778. That room is for international sites to comunicate between them. After that, we realize we recive notifications about international sites Posts, but none of us can inform about false positives.

[ SmokeDetector ] SmokeDetector started at rev 4df131a (Undo1: I guess it was broken anyway --autopull) (running on teward/Solar Flare, Python 3.6.5)
Restart: API quota is 13575.

Thanks @iBug, removed since it was broke anyway
Times have changed anyway, I can clobber messages with my real name now.

@gbianchi All moderators are automatically enabled to provide feedback/commands in Charcoal HQ. Anyone can be enabled to provide feedback (for in-chat feedback, this is granted on a per-room basis). However, The Terminal, currently isn't enabled to accept feedback/commands (this can be changed).

oh yeah, diamonds are sharp and pointy :)

4:41 PM
It's also possible to provide feedback through userscripts, but feedback through userscripts requires an account on metasmoke and additional permissions (Reviewer) there (separate from in-chat, per-room permissions). Metasmoke permissions can be granted by a metasmoke admin. You should be able to create an account on metasmoke,
but from time-to-time registration is blocked due to having spammers/trolls creating accounts (such usually come in waves).
From chat, the userscripts allow you to see feedback status (AIM), view the question in a popup and provide feedback/flag (FIRE). From question pages, they allow giving feedback (FDSC), provide more information (SIM), etc. [Note: the userscripts FIRE and AIM need to be updated to run in this room. That will happen with the next release for those scripts.]
SmokeDetector has a what is page (linked from reports), a wiki, a list of commands, and several more pages with information. If you're wanting to provide feedback, please read the Feedback Guidance page to see some of the criteria applied to edge cases.

Just turned MS registration back on

@Undo and enabling The Terminal to accept feedback/commands? (Should this be done?)

@Makyen great, thanks for the info, I will pass it on, and then get back if we need something...

sorry for bothering @Makyen one of the reasons of my original hesitation was that there are no Charcoal regulars in that room, so bootstrapping a new room can be challenging or, speaking in an unfriendly way, potentially troublesome

@iBug yes, that's why I'm asking all this question.. somebody turn something on.. and them we where left alone ;) and no way to stop it... Not a problem, but always need a pair of eyes looking at it... and what to do with it...

4:45 PM
@iBug I also have concerns about that, but it's something that should be discussed. We might want to have people give feedback in there for a while first.

@ThomasWard Seems fine to me, we should be able to catch bad feedback from there pretty easily

@gbianchi i would suggest that those who want to do the feedback join here and lurk here, unless Undo wants me to turn on the feedback for the room.
@Undo just let me know i'm puttering around in Smokey code right now anyways so :)

@ThomasWard ok.. looks good for me...

I'm okay with turning on commands/feedback there

@Undo ACK i'll push that as soon as I finish kicking around this piece of code I'm trying to debug

4:47 PM
If we get problems from it, we shut it off or do some education. Conflicting feedback should be easy to deal with at the low volumes we get on international sites
@ThomasWard Thanks :)

@gbianchi SmokeDetector was added to The Terminal based on this request.

@Undo commands: True right?
looks like the room structs have changed since i messed with them last :p

Think so

@Makyen yes, I know @NicolasChabanovsky ask for it. Just that we turned it on.. and nothing else.. ;)

IIRC commands: true just turns on listening for that room, you get most everything else for free

4:49 PM
@Undo that's all we'd need to turn on feedback then no?

Aye

@ThomasWard yep, feedbacks are no more than "reply commands"

CI on 4e18582 succeeded.

@iBug that's what happens when branches are out of sync and changes were made
it's a PITA
i usually just torch the git tree and start with a fresh clone in those cases

I'm guessing there's an extra commit that causes it to auto merge every time
