(more generally, I'm not a fan of conflicts that hinge entirely on "everything could be resolved easily if these people would talk to each other, but for not very good reasons, they won't", c.f. Memories of Ice and many, many, many other books)

I'm currently (finally) reading La Belle Sauvage, which is excellent, of course.

Ash does not participate in hunting (they have terrible aim and hunters only use ranged weapons) but is completely deadly with a knife, hence the lynx fight.

So a few hours game-time later I get a "colonist needs medical attention" warning and go look

And it looks like what happened is that Wipqozn fired on a rabbit with her rifle and missed, but this angered the rabbit and it charged her

Rather than keep shooting, she fled, tried to hide inside the stoneworking lab, but couldn't get the door open in time and the rabbit caught up to her

And then she just kind of fell over and flailed helplessly at the rabbit with her rifle while it tried to chew her leg off

Fortunately even carnivorous rabbits are really bad at being carnivores

@Nzall I don't do random genders in XCOM. XCOM 2 actually has a character pool which the game will use to generate soldiers. I actually build you folks from the ground up in the pool, and assign you genders too. In my game some players don't match their proper RL gender, but that's mostly because I needed a few more female soldiers for variety so folks like @murgatroid99 and @PrivatePansy got female soldiers due to their avatars.

(batteries were a high priority because it gets up to like 40° in the summer here)

I also made @ToxicFrog female since I have no idea what their gender is

hi, could someone help me find a game name. I don't have a screenshot, video, or... Just memories of it. the game began with the main protagonist being resurected in a mountain of dead bodies and later in the game you met winter and summer faeries being at wars with each others.
