Q: How can I make a 4 block switcher with redstone?

I am making a minigame, and it requires at the push of a button, that 4 block switchers activate, pull down a block, toggle it (there are 4 blocks that need to be toggled), and then push it up again. How could I do this?

There's a film running (continuously) at a gallery here that's 24 hours long, and it's cut together out of bits of movies where you can see a watch/clock and the time matches the real time.

It's been cleverly done, so wherever possible each scene leads into the next, and sometimes there are conversations cut together between people in different films.

@fredley Yeah, I bought a Vivoactive 3 when they first came out, but ended up preferring my Pebble. My dad is a runner and loves his VA3. They're definitely great for that, but I didn't need all those extra features

Maybe it's my Ys experience, but I'm getting the impression that the combat system in Assassin's Creed Odyssey drew a bit of inspiration from Ys SEVEN, adding elements like the combat skill system (LT or LB plus a face button) and the LB+RB combo for parrying (Ys SEVEN on PC uses LT+RT for Flash Guard).

(at least one other person has drawn parallels with the Arte system in the Tales of series)

He felt kind of awkward in the beta, but I barely played him. I just know one of the moves I used to like was either removed or had a different command to perform it.

The one where he steps back and then lunges forward and pokes you in the face.

Yoshi was the only one I could get any feel for in the beta, for some reason

I'm just excited to have practice mode so I can actually figure out how to do all the moves.

Enemy Yoshimitsus were doing all sorts of shit to me that I had no idea how to do.

Although to be fair literally every character felt like they were going to be really fun.

Except maybe Maxi, because takes 5 minutes of math to even figure out what move you're even going to do when you press a button with him.

I'm planning to main Seong Mi-Na first, but if she's not as much fun as I expect, I'll probably fall back on either Voldo or Xianghua.

Talim was probably the least fun character for me in the beta.

Maxi was fun but I just never know what I'm doing.

Kilik was weird. He has like all the same moves but they're just all on different buttons.

So there will be an adjustment period for anyone who wants to use him.

Ugh I can't wait for this game to launch.

Now I've tasted it so the wait is even harder than it was before.

One thing they did do was somewhat standardize the movelist so it's probably a little easier to jump from character to character.

Everyone has a guard crush on A+B, for example, and longer and potentially more useful strings on AAA and BBB.

Like Siegfried used to have to do AA2A to do his low hit at the end, but they removed the need for the 2 input.

Kilik used to only get 2 hits on BB, but they added a 3rd if you press B again.

@InvaderSkoodge Which is nice. Learning when to use a move is the most important and interesting part of a fighting game opinion.

Yeah, execution was simplified in this version of Soul Calibur which is huge IMO.

There aren't really any more 11_77 or 33_99 moves.

They're all merged into 22_88 moves.

Those were really awkward before.

Fighting games sound awesome. They need to be turn based.

Flash Duel is a turn-based board game that simulates a fighting game in fencing-like style and I like it quite a bit.

I was never big on fighting games except for Smash.

I played Soul Calibur a couple times with a friend.

But he owned the game so he kinda smashed me on the regular.

About the only time I had any semblance of a chance was with Siegfried.

The strategy of picking moves has always fascinated me. The speed at which you had to click buttons always made me lose badly.

Or even the ability to pull off a move. Not sure I ever successfully did the dragon punch or whatever it was called in Street Fighter II.

Fighting games are moving a lot towards making execution easier and shifting the focus onto actual tactics and outsmarting your opponent.

Street Fighter is still holding onto the old dragon punch and full circle motions and stuff, but Tekken and Soul Calibur and some others are taking steps in that direction and IMO it's a great thing.

I say this as someone who can consistently do dragon punches.

And the other time I played a lot of fighting games was on a high school band/choir cruise. On the way back, there was nothing to do for about a full day and we spent the entire day playing Tekken in the arcade.

And I cheesed my way to victory with laser beams.

Devil Jin is rough for me as a Tekken noob.

I'm sure there's a counter for it but Devil Jin was broken as hell for that afternoon.

You can sidestep most of them, and then I think there's one horizontal one which you can duck.

I still get hit by them nearly every time, even knowing that.

I keep getting fighting games and then never playing them because I kinda suck at fighting games.

Like I have no idea why I bought Skullgirls.

But bear in mind that git doesn't record renames in the commit, it figures them out after the fact, so if the file was renamed and heavily edited in the same commit it won't see that as a "rename".

and every time i get a card, i get two copies of it, so this can scale indefinitely as far as i can tell

... anywhoo... I'm here to point out some updates to the layout - we've added some windows to the spaceship and made it only fire once per page load, changed the logo font, and returned your fun artwork to the footer.

the new font looks better than the old one, but still not a huge fan of it

@GodEmperorDune no i mean yesterday it was the old design with the animated ship, now (for me at least) it's the new one without the animated ship

the new design has been around for a while

though more changes were made today, it seems

@GodEmperorDune well i know you could access it by turning on a setting while it was still in beta
