I thought of this ahead of time

This is the reason I wanted Perspective, actually -- when it's really blatant and gets hit by both, then it'll be autoflagged

At the same time however, the two reasons tend to be mutually exclusive when it comes to FPs

Perspective FPs on the stuff that has more subtle words like "stupid" that we don't explicitly blacklist (simply because it needs more context than a regex can handle)

Our blacklist FPs on the stuff that just has "fuck" but in context, which Perspective recognizes

I'm worried about Perspective and regex "double-dipping" and autoflagging a post that includes rude language, but is repairable

I mean, toxic answer hasn't hit an FP yet period

so I don't have a whole lot to base this on, other than what I've observed from the NAAs it catches occasionally

Although I will say that currently the two together is still not enough

But add in a watch of something and then it's three reasons

I still don't like double dipping on reasons though. It feels misleading to the community. "Yeah, we have this highly tuned system that detects spam" and when someone digs in they see a post being flagged with 2 of the same reason. Sure, it should have been caught, but why are we cheating and essentially catching it twice so that it can be autoflagged?

so the stance being: this is completely obviously spam, there's no doubts, it's being used in spam, it will continue to be used in spam, there's not likely to be a legitimate usage, of course let's blacklist it instead of twiddling our thumbs a bit longer for it to reach an arbitrary quantity threshold?

No reason to assume this link is legitimate.

@doppelgreener The idea is that spam that never meets this threshold is not worth blacklisting (space issues) and that watch expires

oh, watches expire? cool.

we don't have any process in place for that but they have been documented from the start as "could be thrown out for whatever reason at any time"
