@ThomasWard That's fake :)

@SmokeDetector always satisfying to cast the rude/abusive vote that destroys a post

!!/test customer service

> Would not be caught as a post, title or username.

@JakeSymons we probably do not look for "customer service" because there's tons of legitimate ways to mention customer service
it's not a reliable indicator of spam

@doppelgreener Oh right, yeah makes sense, especially on project management and like salesforce and that

7:32 PM
@Glorfindel you use the global flag script, is there any way of speeding it up?

@tripleee cc @iBug this is done

@JakeSymons Just a few days ago, you mentioned that you had been rate limited when using the global flag script. Now you want to speed it up, so it's more likely that it runs into the rate limit????? Is your desire to be rate limited each time you use it?

@Makyen Well, I guess I can do other things while it's loading. Not to worry.

@ArtOfCode Someone's paying double? What does that mean?

@Catija hm? Where?

@ArtOfCode C24 on the math sheet?

That better?

Oh, you mean single sticker group or both? Gotcha.
And the numbers are off because you don't know whether the newest addition wants?

Yup. Needs the rightmost cells filled in before it'll actually count a person

@JakeSymons That sort of thing is one of the reasons why browsers have tabs.
Frankly, given that most people are likely to have it work in a non-active tab, it's probably better if it's slowed down a bit to make it less likely that the combination of the global flag summary activity plus whatever else the user is doing doesn't trigger a rate limit. Obviously, that would mean that it takes longer to complete, but if most usage already lets it run in the background, that might be the better choice (or add a user option).

@ThomasWard are you in for stickers from just Charcoal or from both Charcoal and SOBotics?

charcoal
@ArtOfCode that needs to be an option on the form :P

@ThomasWard It was on the first form... the fact finding one :P

@ThomasWard it was on the last one, I've just been correlating people's entries with the results from the last one
doesn't work for people who didn't fill it in ;)

@ArtOfCode also helps if things are shared outside of just chat, just saying
Mobile Chat which I've been stuck on between last week and now? Not the nicest.
doesn't show stars

7:44 PM
@ThomasWard there's an announcement on metasmoke too :)

Isn't there a banner on the Charcoal page?

@Catija was there?
@ArtOfCode MS doesn't play nice with mobile browsers.

Oh, maybe on metasmoke, if that's what Art's saying.

@ThomasWard it tries to, but it ain't the best, no
@Catija yup

@ArtOfCode it tries, but fails hard.
so it gets a tiny gold-colored aluminum foil star that says "I Tried" on it.
^ that. it gets that.

This post is part of a series on how we’re making Channels, the thinking behind the product, and insight into the process. Read “How We’re Designing Channels” and “Why Channels” for more background info.

In his post, How We’re Designing Channels, Kurtis wrote that this project required a change to Stack Overflow’s information architecture. We created several prototype navigations, narrowed to two, and tested with a group of users. This brought us to the following design direction, with content navigation on the left side: …

^^Channels relevant.

@ArtOfCode Looked at the new math. Doesn't D30 need to be something more like: {=(D2+D3-D29)/(D24*2+D23) }??

@Catija I don't think so. The current math is taking the net printing costs (after donations), and dividing them by the number of paying participants, and dividing that by two organisations.
That should be the correct value for printing costs per (paying) user per organisation

Ah, I see it. Makes sense.

I've just figured out with my manager when I'm working, too, sooo

9:21 PM
Have you not been working recently?

Address collection closes on Saturday 2018-02-10 at 20:00Z
@Catija I do weekends - I kept the job I had over summer, which is in London, but I'm down at university. So I do a weekend or two a month, just to make sure I stay qualified and get a bit of money in.
Once address collection is closed, I'll take the final prices out of the spreadsheet and give y'all payment details

@ArtOfCode Is this different then the stickers SE is giving out?

@DJMcMayhem yup. Custom Charcoal stickers

@DJMcMayhem yes

Oh, cool. I didn't want to sign up because I thought I was already getting stickers, but in that case I'm signing up rn

9:25 PM
these are exclusive stickers.

Did you get samples of the SOBotics stickers, too?

@Catija I didn't, no. Realised that a couple days ago, but was kinda too late to get any that would get here before I had to order the next lot
but if they can do Charcoal stickers then I don't doubt they can do SOBotics stickers just as well

@ArtOfCode Ah. Will they let you order them without the samples?

@Catija Yup. Samples are just for customers who aren't sure about things
or for confirmation that they're good quality stickers

Ah, good. :D

What is SOBotics?

heh

 SOBotics

This room is dedicated to moderating content on Stack Overflow...

9:29 PM
Would SOBotics stickers cost extra?
I wouldn't mind extra stickers, but I don't use or care about SOBotics, so I'd lean towards saying just charcoal

@DJMcMayhem about $1 extra, yeah
Just Charcoal?

What do SOBotics stickers look like?

@ArtOfCode I'll take both

Cool :)

9:32 PM
@ArtOfCode Hopefully without all those nasty rigid lines.

@WELZ yeah, they'll smooth out in printing
that's the raw logo file from when I originally designed it
prices are currently £1.75 and £2.40

gone up a bit lol

Yeah, bad maths and more SOBotics stickers

But 9 pounds to double the total number of SOBotics stickers isn't bad.

it's still extremely cheap considering the whole international shipment

9:37 PM
Yup :)

Yeah... I think it'd be more if Art was trying to mail to everyone. There's 12 in the US... So, you're welcome :P

Yup, fairly significantly more. £2.75 to everyone in the US instead of £4 for all of 'em
compared to £1.29 average to everywhere else
