> We all got light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on and there are cases where even the light and the darkness join force to form something powerful for a common purpose

6:56 AM
@Secret I choose the dark side :P

I combine both light and dark, for each has its own strength and weakness. Trying to get the light to work for you is easy, but for the darkness, they have to be content with your rule else you will be perished
Light and darkness has different personalities
For light, they tend to like allies and they have some common vision of good that they tried to achieve. They are also loving while at the same time not dumb and imposing self justice everywhere
For darkness, they have a strong survivialistic sense. Whether it is chaos or order of evil, they all follow the strongest, while consuming the weak
A user of both the light and darkness has to be loving, wise, but at the same time, strong willed in order for the darkness to accept it being their master
Light is comparably weak when it comes to immediate outcomes, but its strength lies on the gradual changes that brought across as it rally its allies and their strong bonds
Whereas darkness's brash nature means they are very good at getting things done for short term goals, but its inherent instability means long term goals will need a very strong and organised lead to get it working
This is why organised crime often have such a strong impact, and unchecked social influences that takes decades to spread through the society are often so irreversible

Q: Looking for a really odd dinosaur show?

GrahamSo there was 3 characters I think. One was an adult white dude who I think sort of looked like Megaman? I'm pretty sure he had blue armor and maybe a helmet. The other character was a girl who I think had pink armor. And the last character was a triceratops kid who could talk and walk on two legs...

^ Watched a TV show on DVD from a 99 cent store when he was pretty young? How does that work? There weren't cheap DVDs sold back then.

Q: Earliest story with Esperanto future

JetpackCan anyone help identify the earliest piece of fiction to show a future where Esperanto is widespread? Here are the two candidates I can propose up front. "Homo Sol", written Jan. 1, 1940, short story by Isaac Asimov. An extraterrestrial character is quoted saying "I delivered the invitation be...

^ Why is this one on Sci Fi SE again?

8:32 AM
@b_jonas It's identifying a SFF story with Esperanto future

8:43 AM
@Edlothiad The question doesn't specifically ask for an SFF work. Should we just assume that that's what it asks for, because of the site?
Or are most works with an esperanto future automatically SFF?

@b_jonas Well I mean, he's discussing stories about a future timeline? That's already swaying it in the direction of SFF for me. Then talks about extraterrestrial characters, is a well structured question from a user who looks like he's looked at a few history-of posts and is even aware of the allowance of works with an Esperanto future if he asks specifically for the first example. I see nothing wrong with it.

Or is it OT retroactively if the answer happens to be an SFF work, like with scifi.stackexchange.com/q/117078/4918
@Edlothiad Ok.

He even cites a related question "Use of Esperanto works in Science Fiction" from Esperanto.SE
@b_jonas Answers do not make questions retroactively on-topic. Or is it off-topic, I dunno

9:03 AM
@Edlothiad That's unclear. It seems in the case of my ski cap question, people figured the answer does make it off-topic. But that's for a question where there's a single correct answer.

I'm 73% sure there's a consensus on this somewhere

A: Toilets in the Galaxy Far, Far Away

GaultheriaIn Double Agent Droid (Star Wars Rebels, season 3, episode 19), AP-5 attempts to have a serious conversation with Wedge Antilles in the refresher aboard a Sentinel-class shuttle. Wedge's posture and his frustrated reaction indicate that he is in the middle of using the facilities when AP-5 inter...

@Forral newbie.

@DrRDizzle I saw Kingman last night. I can't say I agree with that assessment. We have to remember that the most common reaction coming out of theaters after seeing Kingsman: The Secret Service was, "I didn't expect to enjoy that movie that much". Given the complete and unexpected breath of fresh air that was The Secret Service, it is unreasonable to expect The Golden Circle to achieve the same result.
The Golden Circle was a damn good movie, and a fun movie. But it is unfair to ask it to subvert the entire genre, as it's predecessor did. Because that would require it to subvert what it's built on. In short, it was a fun movie, and it was true to itself. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first one.

@amflare See, I'd have thought that those who enjoyed the first one are likely to be those most disappointed by its sequel. There's just no heart there anymore, no real reason to exist beyond continuing this franchise past its natural expiry date.
I mean, my friends and I love the first film, and none of us enjoyed the second.

@Derpy I'm trying to keep it to real photos of cats though, not drawings, it makes it harder to find good ones. It was either the one I posted or a kitten sitting in a hard hat.

@Forral that IS a real cat. Just mixed with a numeric map / floor plan via deepdream style.
and this is the original cat.

@DrRDizzle I can see that. I think I would say the same thing if they come out with a third.

@Derpy Then that's more effort than I'm willing to go to at work :P
