@tripleee Let them come. I'm nice and comfortable with my glass of scotch.

@Undo any opinion about the broken Nigerian phone number filter? I was thinking I could probably just fix it by changing the \+ to (?<=\+) but I haven't done any experimentation or anything yet

4:57 AM
Is that a lookbehind?
Looks like regex magic that's beyond my comprehension

yeah, require the thing before the match to be a plus, so that we can still keep it in bad_keywords.txt

My opinion is mostly "why not just try it"
Already a low-score reason, we really can't hurt it too bad.

more from a design perspective, how complex do we let the bad_keywords.txt regexes to become before we break them out into separate functions with documentation etc?

That's a good point, we don't really have guidelines on that.
Probably best to stick with a judgement-call thing there.

I have not been committing my test cases because they are hideously ugly but we should probably think about adding more regression tests for individual rules etc

I'm too sleepy to properly review it. Only thing I can see is whether those comments will actually be seen as comments.

I have been thinking there should be a way to test against live posts with links to the original post or at least to metasmoke records, but I don't have anything like that yet
@Undo they won't, they are going to be no-op regexes

yeah, that works
You can merge whenever you want or I can do it in the morning.

or "no-op" until a clever spammer discovers them and posts a clever FP

@tripleee It'd be nice, but IIRC we don't have Python's regex system in any place close enough to the database to do that and be performant at all.

5:20 AM
I'll leave it up to @ArtOfCode to still review but this time I have actually tested </blush>
@Undo the CI doesn't really have to be very performant, does it?

second-scale turnaround times are nice

but if that's a concern, you could commit copies of the interesting posts to local files in the repo

Thomas' Aurora server does ~60 posts/s. Questionable statistic (doesn't take multithreading into account), but still useful. 50,000 posts at that speed is ~13 min
Would be more manageable if we were to take a random sampling of, say, 1k posts and ran them through

probably closer to hundreds, I'm not thinking exhaustive testing, just a note that "this regex should match at least post 1234 and definitely not 9878"

yeah, that'd be sane
it'd be super nice if we could track reasons down to a specific line in a blacklist file, but that's hard.
'track' meaning store in metasmoke

5:24 AM
the blacklist file could be JSON or whatever, then you can store metainformation about each entry ... and commentary

Normally I sneeze and get a runny nose and that's it. No sore throat, headaches, coughing, swollen glands, aching joints and all the rest of that shit.

@DavidPostill same here. If you don't count the knee surgeries, I haven't missed a single day on work and the last 8 years of education because of illness.

@MarkYisri In my last job I didn't take any days off sick for 5 years. Was nice as that earned me extra bonus holidays - 2 days/year :)

@DavidPostill nice. They won't be doing this at our company, last year we had an 'illness percentage' (I don't know the exact English term) of 0.7%.

we cast at least 5 of the 6 flags on that ^

@SmokeDetector yay, 500 helpful flags on Drupal!
@ArtOfCode I see only 4 feedbacks (including yours)?!

@Glorfindel plus the autoflag

11:27 AM
Ah, sorry, forgot about that.
Any updates from Stack Overflow about cranking up the # of flags per post?

Nope
I expect someone'll post it in here when there is

Well, it still works with just a single flag :)

@Kyll lol. Which one?

^ @tripleee it's finally working, super! The only confusing thing now is that the + isn't shown in the reason list on MS.

I'm wondering, how many FPs would \s\+\d have?

@JanDvorak every post on meta about voting? :P

true...

We don't check meta, so that's not applicable
But there are similar situations where you might want to say 'change x by +1'

@DavidPostill The deface one

@Kyll Ah. Did I steal it from you? ;p
@angussidney Why don't we check meta?

@JanDvorak too many, almost 1000 in 2017 on SO alone.
@DavidPostill you need 5 rep to post on Meta.
But I'm not sure we don't check Meta at all.
