stage.AOC.co.uk:8080 works for me, ash.AOC.co.uk:8080 doesn't work

8080 or 8800?
grrr dns caches
just gonna have to leave it for a while

@ArtOfCode 8800
sorry too used to setting up the school proxy

It started as a art wanted to demonstrate his work, it changed to a dns debugging session

Still, if you can access it (either stage:8800 or ash:8800), thoughts/suggestions?
@angussidney heh. 8080 is the standard alternate HTTP port, which is exactly why I didn't use it.

Let me put the ip and name in my hosts file so I can access it...

11:03 AM
52.91.67.192 ash.artofcode.co.uk

@ArtOfCode looks cool, but without any more data in it, it is a little hard to understand the use of some pages

@angussidney which pages?

Also I reckon SE would be really interested in it

@angussidney aye, potentially. It's just a matter of getting enough data in it that they've got something to work with.

For windows users, hosts file is located at: C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts

11:05 AM
@ArtOfCode wait dw, after a little looking at it, it makes sense

@angussidney sweet. Still, which pages? If I can make them even clearer, that's always an improvement

@ArtOfCode the heading 'Common techs' doesn't make much sense at first glance
also, are you accepting signups? :P

@angussidney yep, /users/sign_up
same URL structure as metasmoke

Found that though an edit link

Maybe export as csv so you can make quick mailing lists?

11:08 AM
nice
what data would you want in a CSV?

spam domain, last time the domain was used, registrar abuse mail, register name, is using whoisguard or similar

@art Some input checking on the url field when adding a new domain would also be nice

Favorite food, and name of the pet

physical address including surname and floor

@angussidney i.e. check that it's a URL?

11:12 AM
yeah

that's an interesting one

On the home page, the details for websites it right, the details for the others is left

@Ferrybig yeah, that was deliberate, though it might not be the best... let me play around with that
yeah, text-right works better
okay, now I have to boot back into ubuntu :P

Welcome, @Rahul2001

Hello :)

11:15 AM
Welcome to today's episode of 'watch your computer load painfully slow' with @ArtOfCode. So art, how long did it take?

that long

@Rahul2001 Hullo

It's actually a pretty fun show.

Hey djsmiley

11:16 AM
@angussidney fortunately, fast computer

For me, everything but "I open up the lid and I see the screen while the fan is still spinning up" is painfully slow.

@Ferrybig yeah, not much I can do about that

@hichris123 Remember that bodyfetcher is spun off in new threads.
