SHIT i fiexd it but i broke another thing
i am idiot
>_> this is why goats should stick to eating tin cans rather than cheese making
@Downgoat For fuck's sake, sqrt(2) is not rational.
@LeakyNun [tag:blame-@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΨΠʹ]
@Downgoat lmao
I'll open an issue an assign it to him
oh he's not a collabortaor :/
@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΨΠʹ I've invited you to cheddar-lang GH org, please accept invite
@Downgoat You should totally make an "Algebraic"
Also, why is rational before bignum?
7:09 AM
@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΨΠʹ do you mind making a bignum lib for cheddar >_>
okay, deloying to coveralls and then cheese should be fixed
@Downgoat It would need to override + and * and stuff
yeah, but that's easy
I think I can make it
I've written bignum in Java before
But I don't have the time so I'll pass to @ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΨΠʹ

@Dennis @LeakyNun fixed cheddar npm! should be able to install latest version correctly now with npm install -g cheddar-lang
Hey guys
7:21 AM
@Zizouz212 bonjour
omg I tried to read that in English -_-
bun jour to you too :)

Enoent is raised with something else..
gnight, bai! .o/
7:23 AM
@Downgoat What is your npm and node version
@Downgoat Oh my goodnessss! Help me go to sleep! It's 3:23 AM, I can't sleep, and I'm in a chatroom!
7:35 AM
How does JS store the codepoints of each character? 8-bit? 16-bit? 32-bit? float?
@LeakyNun UTF-8
@ASCII-only interesting
Well, at least I'm pretty sure
@LeakyNun Internally, UCS-2 or UTF-16.
my bad
@LeakyNun wat float?
7:38 AM
@ASCII-only all integers are floats in javascript
@Dennis because I'm considering to build bignum based on strings
since integers are floats
and I don't like floats
@LeakyNun in JS?
@ASCII-only yes
> "I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere."
@LeakyNun use this, uses arrays
@Downgoat (see above)
@ASCII-only string is just char array
or if you want a faster implementation use asmcrypto's
@LeakyNun not really that simple in JS
they're immutable, meaning really slow
7:40 AM
oh, right
also there will be too many charcodeat and stuff
7:58 AM
how did dennis do it in 6 bytes!
8:17 AM
@miles do what
zhqt might be the answer
here is another method
lmao, keep getting 9 bytes
1500 rep \o/
TIL training Dasher on a binary file is a bad idea
8:41 AM
what is Dasher lol
@miles link?
CMC: dot product
8:47 AM
@LeakyNun Mathematica, 1 byte: .
[-3,0,2]dot[1,2,3] == 3
Neoscript, 1 byte (not yet implemented but planned): .
halp how do i encrypt stuff, do i use scrypt for a verifiable hash and any algorithm to encrypt?
@ASCII-only nice
@LeakyNun :P I only know from Martin I think commenting on Helka thinking Mathematica had namespacing
8:50 AM
@miles Yeah, I'm stuck on that one too :p
what is the precedence of a dot product?
@muddyfish @ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΨΠʹ @AlexA. @Quill @GamrCorps I need your email address. Please send it to minxomat[at]gmail.com.
ow are you

You can edit messages with the UP arrow key.
But fine, ty.
@mınxomaτ i know
@mınxomaτ mine??
Did RikerW change their username? I can't ping or find them.

@microbuster Huh? Are you one of the people I pinged?
@Adnan it's definitely a tricky one
8:54 AM
@mınxomaτ nope
@mınxomaτ @EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ
Also, that mess of greek letters is LegionMammal, right?
@mınxomaτ Yes
how do I use dasher?
@ASCII-only Kind of ironic that you replied :D

@DestructibleWatermelon click to start to type, and use the mouse to move the cursor
why isn't it typing anything?
how to actually type?
when the cursor go over a square, the title of this square is added to the text window at the top
I'm on mac...
there is no text window
8:59 AM
I like how they have newbie tips but nothing about how to get the program to actually write anything
on my computer it look like this
this is actually ridiculous that they hAVE NO WAY TO SAY THIS IS HOW TO MAKE THIS TEXT EDITOR EDIT TEXT

It was actually shitty text edit's fault

I retract my statements about inference group, and direct them at text edit
where is the space character ._.
white squares
But I can't find any blank squares `n`
@TùxCräftîñg try coding parser in C, like Python lel
How do i reset dasher's learning?
@ReleasingHeliumNuclei C dont have regexs
and creating a parse tree is... funny

Are you talking about ingress?
No, Pokemon GO
@flawr Nope.
@ReleasingHeliumNuclei Ingress is all about exotic matter.
@flawr oh i didn't get the joke:(
Go play ingress then.=)
And you'll notice that pokemon go is just a cheap knock-off of ingress
11:30 AM
i should really start a doc for Neoscript
i meant, i didn't get the joke when you wrote ıngress.
Now i get it:(:(
i play ingress but it's too hot here so i can't now

@flawr while its true. Pokemon Go is still in development with new features coming nicely
specially 1 on 1. which ingress never had.

I love my job. On almost 70% of servers of all the companies we audit, we find some form of cracked software. Mostly Windows Enterprise copies and Adobe CC cracks.
And that's without any access given. This is purely a blackbox process.
@flawr how suboptimal may my submissions be?
@mınxomaτ ...what exactly is your job?
@RohanJhunjhunwala As suboptimal as they want. But they'll score worse the more suboptimal they are.
@RohanJhunjhunwala I updated my it.
@trichoplax ^
@mınxomaτ So what exactly do you do on your job?
12:30 PM
I run a company that does Big Data analytics. The analysis is focused on security.
So instead of looking at the company (pentest), we are filtering data traffic provided by our own crawlers and upstream providers to find risks. That could be a planned attack, leaked documents, other sensitive meta-data etc. Basically XKeyscore, but legal.
Q: Does ART Inc. really exist and what is it?

Mega ManAt the answer http://codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/17107/53416, the code is just a joke. This is easy to see, just clears the screen and waits for the keypress or something like that. But in the answer, Gilles talks about "ZOG C" and the "ART DS9000". I wouldn't ask this question if there wouldn't...

Q: Community Moderator Removing Sandbox featured tag

@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΨΠʹ Got it. Now only @Quill @GamrCorps and @AlexA. are missing.
The current history of me dealing with Amazon Customer Service reps:
Mon, Aug 08:
"Please try again over the next few hours. Errors like this [an HTTP 503 on a subdomain] are usually corrected shortly after they're reported."
Fri, Aug 12:
"I need to look into the problem with the website and it'll take a bit more time than usual. I just wanted to let you know I'll write back in 2-3 business days with more information."
Tue, Aug 16:
Who knows!
1:02 PM
We'll have your problem fixed in 6-8 weeks - if not longer!
Riker Wredacted?
@trichoplax can you please add to the sandbox
@trichoplax pretty much, I had to ask for an update for the second rep to respond...
W is silent

@flawr Needs a PPCG mod
I can do chat modding, but not site modding outside my home site
@Optimizer yes
I've voted to close this as off topic for meta, but incidentally, does anyone have any idea what this is about?
he's asking whether the automatic-unfeaturing can be stoppd
1:13 PM
Me? I linked to the other meta post...
I have no problem with the one about the sandbox

Turns out writing a custom TCP/IP stack is a really easy way to crash data center routers.
2:56 PM
No answer. It's gymnastics
@mınxomaτ I've done that. It was fun, but really hard and buggy
@mınxomaτ just sent you the email.
Actually, I suppose that's not quite true, I wrote TCP/IP firmware, but used an existing stack
@DJMcMayhem I wrote that for a beta version of a crawler we use to get past the ~2M packets/second bottleneck on non-Intel NICs. It crashed almost all routers I've tested or severely impacted traffic on other ports.
@GamrCorps Got it.
@TùxCräftîñg Why HiggsBot is here?
3:07 PM
forget to leave
3:18 PM
@Quill you owe minxomat an email.
Just started NMS, all the plants here are carbon :/
@mınxomaτ Wow. That's actually really funny. The only stuff I've done that's heavily into TCP/IP is on a totally different scale. Like maybe 5-10 packets/second, so we just stuck with lwip
Now a sentinel refuses to leave me alone
because of you i want to play NMS ;_;
3:28 PM
@DJMcMayhem I love the Intel GbE NICs. There's a custom linux driver (PF_RING) that allows 10Mpps. However, almost no data center lets us deploy these servers (because they basically need one whole router each).
@mınxomaτ where are you located at ?>
But the production servers are deployed all over the world to prevent geo-bias, of course.
That's why I need to write a workaround for the servers one can lease in most data centers.
@TùxCräftîñg looks cool but -1 for no cheese
3:32 PM
it's not a cheese-based lang
@mınxomaτ So you're writing code for servers?
@DJMcMayhem Well, I created the network architecture in 2012 and I'm still responsible for it. But to save us money, I try new ways to get the last drop of performance out of existing servers.
OK interesting.
And because I'm a low level dev, I hack away at the stack. I wouldn't ever touch the database servers :D
What I'm doing is completely different
3:35 PM
What are you doing?
:31668900 My layout just kept randomly switching between US and DE.
wat i dont receive notifications for pings
@TùxCräftîñg Because you probably removed the message before I posted that
@mınxomaτ This client has a motion control system that communicates over serial (rs 485) and a servo motor that communicates over ethernet, so we're design a board to be the MiTM to allow communication.
The motor uses TCP
I tried switching between US/DE/ES for a while. Then I just set everything to US international and forgot other layouts existed.
even better: ɐ compose key
3:39 PM
@Dennis I have it set to DE. It switched itself to US. Dunno why.
@DJMcMayhem So, a Terminal Server, but for motor control?
@zyabin101 that's trampoline, not gymnastics
gymnastics ∋ trampoline
@mınxomaτ Uh, I guess? It's really a box that you plug a serial cable and an ethernet cord into and it communicates through
@Dennis Say I'm the creator of a language, how do I display things when debug is turned on?
All I want for Christmas / is zinc / zi-inc / zi-inc / NOW GIMME SOME ZINC
3:48 PM
@DJMcMayhem That's a terminal server. :)
> A terminal server (also referred to as a serial server or console server network access server) enables organizations to connect devices with an RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial interface to a local area network (LAN).
@LeakyNun Write to STDERR.
@Dennis I can write to STDERR without exiting?
> ESON is an Esoteric Knowledge Representation Format designed to be so easy to parse it melts Nazis' faces and burns out their eyes.
@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΨΠʹ obtains zinc and gives it to LegionMammal978
3:48 PM
@zyabin101 Too bad you can't do that in NMS...
@LeakyNun Of course. STDERR is just a stream. What is the parent language?
@mınxomaτ I've never heard of a terminal server before, but if you say so. :) Actually, the difference is it plugs into the motor directly without a LAN
wrong person :P
@DJMcMayhem Ah.
3:50 PM
@Dennis Prolog
Well, you got me there. I know nothing about Prolog.
Fatalize does i think?
@DJMcMayhem TSs are usually used by companies that want to compromise the security of many servers at the same time :D
3:52 PM
@LeakyNun write(user_error, ...).
@quartata I see, thanks
Now some thamium-9...
Took me a while to realize you're playing NMS and not just assembling a Christmas wishlist
i love how every negative reviews of NMS is because of the lack of AZERTY support
