On a related note, don't use my version of the ??? interpreter. Use BrainSteel's. :|

@Zizouz212 What, you mean the socialist hippie comment from earlier? :P

@Geobits s/socialist hippy/Seattleite/ golfed that for you

Oh god. You're firing me up (and that's generally a hard thing to do)

@AlexA. Sure, sure. I was using the long form in deference to you.

Huh, looks like I can see upvotes and downvotes on Meta even though I don't have the rep. Is it by design?
Nevermind, that was the userscript doing it. Didn't know. Sorry.

7:02 PM
@Zizouz212 We <3 you

You won't be able to flatter me :|

Oh hey, now that we've graduated we can end our rivalry with Code Review.

@Zizouz212 But... your avatar is like my 247th favorite Pokemon. That's gotta count for something, right?

What's it called?

The poke? Wobbuffet
Trust me, I know my pokemon

7:04 PM
Alright. Oh, and you peeps are graduating? Congrats!

Thank you :3

Eh, you know what? I'm going to think of a graduation challenge!

Speaking of BrainSteel, hey @BrainSteel, guess what! We're graduating!

Oh is it not StainRebel any more?

Q: Should multi-part challenges be allowed?

I know! I have been sitting on that beta function idea for days and the day I post it, we graduate XD

How about the adjustment of the reputation points?

@flawr You mean to +10 for questions? It looks like it probably won't happen.

@flawr Moderator elections, a custom site design, increased privilege thresholds.

Oh, that means the whole clutter of deleted posts disappears again? Great=)

7:31 PM

Still some time before that happens.

Yep. The privilege thresholds won't increase until we get our custom design.

Well do we have to get more/less mods?
I think there is not much reason to change the mod team.

Alex asked for 4 slots in the election.

All of them for himself?

By the way, I'm on Discord if people want to do a celebratory voice chat

I'm pretty sure there have been more stars today than there have been in the past week

MegoThe Holier Numbers As we learned from The Holy Numbers, there are 5 holy digits (0, 4, 6, 8, 9), and positive integers consisting solely of those digits are holy. WTF?

Bernard "Bernie" Sanders (born September 8, 1941) is an American politician and the junior United States Senator from Vermont. He is a candidate for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. A Democrat as of 2015, Sanders had been the longest-serving independent in U.S. congressional history, though his caucusing with the Democrats entitled him to committee assignments and at times gave Democrats a majority. Sanders became the ranking minority member on the Senate Budget Committee in January 2015; he had previously served for two years...

AKA the Tiger Woods of code golf.

@flawr Bernie Sanders is one of the seven remaining main US presidential candidates. The others are Hillary Clinton (the only other Democratic candidate left), Marco Rubio, John Kasich, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump

@Sherlock9 I just want more American astronauts to go to space. We need Mark Watney on Mars, damnit.

@Mego Marky is close enough. Send him to Mars.

There's a couple of thinkpieces I read recently that say the American political system (presidential-style) might fall apart soon and that the best option with political parties this polarized is with a parliamentary system

Anonymous
In The Martian movie, Mark should have grown an apple tree on Mars, and brought some apples back with him. Then, when he got back to Earth, he could've offered some to the NASA head guy who was being a prick the whole time, and said "How do you like dem apples?"

I mean, Indonesia has a parliamentary system and polarized political parties. Lots of corruption, too, but we haven't ever shut down.

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ All of them stand a chance at winning the general election. Trump doesn't. I want Bernie in office, so the best chance is if Trump wins the Republican primary.

What's our policy on abandoned challenge? I formulated a challenge idea, and before I posted it to the Sandbox, I went a-searching for duplicates. I found a similar-ish challenge that was asked over a year ago, no answers, not closed, the author hasn't really been seen since.

And Trump mockery.

@Mego I actually heard something really interesting on NPR yesterday. They interviewed a reality TV writer who has written for The Apprentice and he said that Trump is very much acting in the same way he would on TV. He doesn't apologize and speaks with such confidence that nobody questions when he says things that are outlandish, contradictory, or just downright wrong. He was saying that Trump doesn't seem to have given a thought to governing but rather is just trying to win.

@AlexA. Except with half a billion people watching (the pop. of America and large chunks of the rest of the world), lots of people are picking his statements apart

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ We're just more vocal. :P

@El'endiaStarman :::::P I'm personally okay with Cruz.

Well, actually, I forgot another crucial aspect of the demographics in here: a lot of us aren't from the United States.

He seems the most presidential of the GOP.

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ I don't love any of the candidates. The result will be either a president whose policies and beliefs I oppose, or a president who I support but won't be able to do anything because of congress.

I really need to do some real research on the Republican candidates. Trump is a no-brainer, but I've heard a lot of negative opinions of Cruz, and some regarding Carson, and Rubio seems to be the best of the bunch. But this is all from what I see people say.

Q: What's the most crucial issue when deciding Senator Cruz's citizenship?

RathonyDonald Trump is threatening to sue Senator Cruz for his citizenship issue. I understand Senator Cruz was born in Canada between an American mother and Cuban father. I fully understand it would not be any issue if he had been born in the U.S. or its territory or if he had been born between both A...

@El'endiaStarman ninjo'd

7:54 PM
If he wasn't born in the US, why is it still debated... ?

.........[sigh]
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ He was born to a US citizen.
Hence, has natural US citizenship.

Anonymous
@AlexA. That's not even the reason. The reason is, he was born to a non-US-citizen father and a mother who claimed US citizenship, but was living in Canada and voted in an election as a Canadian citizen, during a time when Canada didn't allow dual-citizenship.

@Mego Oh, didn't know.

Anonymous
So either his mother commited voter fraud, or by voting in that election she renounced US citizenship, thus making Cruz not a citizen at birth

7:57 PM
Hm.

Is his mother still alive?

Gotta say, there's a bit of schadenfreude seeing the GOP's birther accusations of Obama being turned back against one of their own.

It's an actual word.

I was just typing that=)

It's basically "dark joy".
