@SmokeDetector ignore- I guess this is what the question asks for.

@SmokeDetector Perhaps that user's account was compromised. No posts for a few months... and then this. Not that it matters so much...

"Few unique characters in answer"? The answer consisted of about 1000 x iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

@SmokeDetector why

Post - Contains 2 unique characters
Post - Repeated character: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

@SmokeDetector why

@NickGammon Many characters, but few unique ones.

I understand. I just thought it was a funny post.
I suppose "few unique characters" would catch things like asdfasdfasdfasdf and so on.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Seems that these company names are a slippery slope to the most unreadable sequences of characters imaginable. I wonder if we'll hit rock bottom when new companies are called a series of non-pronouncable wingding characters.
Mission will be accomplished when recruiters will have to say words like "ummpfh-smileyface-ftoloerp"

@EricLeschinski You mean like dilbert.com/strip/2007-04-15

3:09 AM
Yes, some people just want to watch the world burn.
I'm a proud pronouncer of the way terribly named companies are spelled. When they try to insist that the sounds that letters denote mean should be a sound that's not one of the 48 phenomes, or never been used that way before, I proudly say it the way it looks with a snort of derision.

Hi :) I am trying to debug a file on the website www.stardoll.com with Charles Proxy. I am activating breakpoints so I can edit the request of saveChat.php but when I click execute the response always returns FALSE as you can see in the images below :

But when I erase the values of _ aId _I and _xt the response returns true.. How can I do that on my own site? Not allow the user to edit the request? Thanks :)

@ManishEarth :(
Hey, core stuff is fun too...

(as much as I hate ios, I'm sort of fed up with android :) )
@hichris123 well then you apply for the android one :p

Averaging 333 bytes each, I'm doing 2.6 kBps.
Just Smokey traffic.

@ManishEarth Is that an actual internship or a full-time position?

@hichris123 ...oops
@hichris123 so I went to margaret's timeline, looking for the internship link, since I knew it was there, and pasted the first careers.mozilla link I could find :p

lol

Okay and Smokes crashed. UnicodeEncodeError.

@ManishEarth Is there by happenstance a list of Mozilla internships?
@ArtOfCode You're on Windows...

@hichris123 That doesn't help, no.

11:24 PM
@hichris123 yeah, somewhere on careers.mozilla.org
you can filter by internship

@ArtOfCode It's Command Prompt...
@ManishEarth ah, ok. thanks.

@hichris123 What about it?

Q: Python, Unicode, and the Windows console

James SulakWhen I try to print a Unicode string in a Windows console, I get a UnicodeEncodeError: 'charmap' codec can't encode character .... error. I assume this is because the Windows console does not accept Unicode-only characters. What's the best way around this? Is there any way I can make Python auto...

@hichris123 Sense made... I could run it from a cygwin console instead, which might help.

Or just comment out line 56 in chatcommunicate.py.
That's what I do. :P

11:29 PM
I suspect the Toronto one is the one Margaret is talking about

11:44 PM
@ArtOfCode 16975 as of now.
  ws = new WebSocket('ws://qa.sockets.stackexchange.com/');
  ws.onmessage = function(e) {
    var data = JSON.parse(e.data).data;
    if (data !== 'hb') {
      console.log(JSON.parse(data));
    }
  };
ws.onopen = function() { ws.send('4606062-topbar'); };

Down to 16974, since I deleted the comment that pinged Smokey to change the topbar number and broadcast it via websocket.
