@NormalHuman Wouldn't they already be caught by the URL in answer test?

I meant "avoiding reporting empty string" as containing repeated characters.
Doesn't matter now since the current check works.

oh. I see.
yeah, that's true.

@NormalHuman HURRY UP AND EARN MORE HATS! Winterbash will be over in 4 days, 23 hours, 10 minutes, and 22 seconds. :(

@NormalHuman Blame @Doorknob冰. 'twas for the Puzzling mods (identifying misuse of codeblocks instead of blockquotes/spoilers, I think).

But the idea wasn't bad. @Undo said something similar once or twice, in terms of custom filter plugins for Smokey interface. This isn't exactly that, since the filter is in the same codebase, but similar in its function: the reports go only to one room that wants them.
And the marginal cost of adding a custom rule reporting to a particular room is a lot lower than splitting the bot into multiple instances.

Yeah.
And the framework is still there.
It's a little clunky... ('experimental reasons') but it would work.

E.g., if SOCVR wanted all the link-only NAAs, it could have them (though would be buried under avalanche).

@hichris123 IIRC it was a different mod's idea :P

While Meta.SE discusses Year in Review, Wordpress gave me their own. All the five most-viewed blog posts for 2015 were written in 2012-13. :(
Well, this is how it is with Q&A sites too. Great questions get exhausted... never completely, but the excitement won't ever be the same.

Chat [Russian] roulette.
Speaking of Russian. ru.SO election ended 5.5 hours ago, still no official announcement. I guess timing the election by U.S. daytime wasn't a good idea.

Only 320 votes?

By percentage to total users it's higher than SO.

Oh, huh, didn't know ru.SO was that small.

I'm more interested in why the 3rd number (visited election page) is greater than 2nd (visited the site).
I posted openstv output in their chat, but not on Meta. Yet...

1:32 AM
@NormalHuman Oh, I assumed that was just a translation goof
But it does appear in that order in the original text too

@NormalHuman Maybe if you only visit the election page it doesn't count that you visited the site?

That's the only plausible explanation, but it's really odd behavior then. A lot of people had to visit that page and nothing else, to balance all those who visited the site but not the election.
@Doorknob冰 Compare with pt.SO, where 107 voted.

ouch

Unofficial results: Winners are Nofate, Nick Volynkin, and PashaPash.

I voted for 2 of 3. Nofate did great as a pro-tem (unlike the other pro-tem, who got de-modded and suspended during election). Nick usually has the right sort of ideas on meta.
And now we have 0 elections going on.

[ SmokeDetector ] All-caps title: VBA SUMIF BETWEEN DATES IN A RANGE by monk on stackoverflow.com

@SmokeDetector tpu-

@hichris123 Very interesting. lang-SO sites eat up a lot of quota without anything to show for it.
Maybe now is the time to do that optimization that I blogged about... We have (1) # of reports, (2) # of requests (which measure site activity).

@NormalHuman I think it'd be interesting to at least let it suggest changes, if not automatically apply them

Yeah, have some online calculator or something.

Metasmoke can give # reports tp'd in the last <time period> if need be
It's a fairly convenient place to do queries and such

6:53 PM
That would be cool.
Can you post it somewhere (here) for the last 30 days?

@NormalHuman By site?

Yes, by site.

Just a sec, have to pull the prod db down

@hichris123 and some have 0, like Community Building

:(
Poor CB.

6:55 PM
@NormalHuman Just # tp'd or # overall or both?

I dunno. Maybe both, if it's not difficult.
