Duga-1 and Duga-2 (Russian: Дуга - "duga" means "arc") were Soviet over-the-horizon radar (OTH) systems. They were developed for the Soviet ABM early-warning network. Both of these radar systems were aimed east and were fairly high power. They were predecessors of the Duga-3 or "Steel Yard" OTH system, which operated from 1976 to 1989.
Duga-1 was the first experimental system. It was built outside Mykolaiv in the Ukraine, and successfully detected rocket launches from Baikonur Cosmodrome, about 2,500 kilometers away.
The second prototype, Duga-2, was built on the same site. Duga-2 is able to track...

I bet we'll see at least some of you as moderators again soon!
You might want to visit codereview.stackexchange.com - although parseable, your code is very poorly styled. Also there is nothing in your question which specifically relates to ZF2 and the reference to MVC is irrelevant. And if you think the code above has anything to do with the log entry you've added here then there's something very strange going on somewhere. — symcbean9 secs ago
A little background - these are classes I've written on top of an Entity Framework model that represents tables on Sql Server with the following names:
Dictionary.Databases, Dictionary.Schemas, Dictionary.Tables, Dictionary.Columns
SysData.Databases, SysData.Schemas, SysData.Tables, ...
@symcbean No matter how poorly styled code is, it does need to be working, and not be "example code", before it is posted at Code Review. Would be helpful if you would mention that next time. As is, this question would be closed on Code Review. — Simon André Forsberg16 secs ago
Please don't try to prevent commercial use; it's against the spirit of open-source.1 It's worth thinking about what exactly your motivations for wanting to prevent commercial use are.
There are "three levels" of open-source licenses, which you could use depending on what your intentions are (Cre...
Any thoughts on the GPL license?
"But if your motivation is to avoid feeling "ripped-off" by a commercial company "stealing" your code, the GPL is what you should use." <- That's exactly how I feel like
@skiwi I hate libraries that use it, but if what you want to make is truly meant to be open source only, then it is fine. But as @Vogel612 says, indeed there is a infection factor.
"But if your motivation is to avoid feeling "ripped-off" by a commercial company "stealing" your code, the GPL is what you should use." <- That's exactly how I feel like
@skiwi Take my advice: Make it open source. I was very reluctant to make my Minesweeper algorithm open source, because it was the code I was the most proud of. Honestly, I don't regret making it open source at all. Probably best move I ever did.
Say I want to make a piece of software and license the program to end-users for $5/month, then I'd hate it if another company comes in, takes my source, and starts to sell what I have made, right?
@SimonAndréForsberg My take on that still remains that whoever wants to bother compiling it from source via the repo has the right to use it for free, but I would want to offer a pre-packaged version under license
You can host a non-free (as in beer and speech) repo in the public, and still be covered by whatever license you apply to it, but.... why put yourself in that position?
I wrote the following simple function in JavaScript that finds the sum of all the multiples of 3 or 5 below a value, given from a text-box
I have used "n/2(a1+an) (sum of arithmetic sequence )"
function sum_of_all_mul_3_5(){
var value=parseInt(document.getElementById("input").value);
...
Probably all companies that could "steal your code and make profit" are very likely to have another solution already that is much better at doing what they want to accomplish.
Maybe I'll need to make the repo private if I really want to start making profit on it, but if there's multiple people contributing, etc. that's not fair, so that will be decided later

> There is a long ongoing battle between GPL zealots and BSD fanatics, about which license type is the most free of the two. In fact, both license types have unacceptable obnoxious clauses (such as reproducing a huge disclaimer that is written in all caps) that severely restrain our freedoms. The WTFPL can solve this problem.
I should actually find more C libraries that have great utility that someone might want from an iOS application and write an Objective-C wrapper so it can be used in Objective-C/Swift applications.
And there's still branching, so the more decisions you have, the larger the branching effect can be... but this is a very minor performance concern when compared with nested loops.
I' m having this problem , when I load my page and insert Origin and Destination, after clicking the button "locate" it doesn't show anything in the google map, because it says Response is not an object , so I tried to stamp it with console.log and it says Response=null , but if I reload the page...

This code works makes it inappropriate for SO. It would, however, be a great fit for Code Review. I'd recommend posting it there for some great help. — FreeManjust now
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it is functional code that he is looking to optimize. It belongs on Code Review. — FreeMan7 secs ago
I wonder if you could set out clearly what you want to achieve, followed by a single question. You appear to have asked a number of questions here. Do you have a problem? If not, perhaps the question should be moved to the Code Review site? — Alex6 secs ago
This code works. Since it has too many loop, loop inside loop, this works very slowly. How can we increase the speed of this program? Turns out I passed for 4 out of 4 exams instead of 3. When the teacher downloaded my assignments, they were ranked very last in Finder but apparently some status bar hid exactly one entry -- mine
I was sitting next to him when we were trying to find out where it went wrong
I saw my name in Finder, was about to yell and suddenly he scrolls down and the scrolling animation showed me briefly and then put a status bar on top of me
Makes you think you scrolled to the end but it's not entirely there
@Mat'sMug Bahhh.... there's a lot of stuff that has gone on. I pissed off some staff members, motivated others, and brought a lot of attention to the site.
On the whole, yes, it was good for the site.
the pun-a-day is also just the last part in a long process that has been ingoing for.... a long time.
It's kinda odd how these questions suddenly receive so much attention. It's not even a proper StackOverflow question! The code works and optimization is not an issue, meaning this actually belongs to CodeReview. — Dion V.25 secs ago
No, I did not get kicked, but, put it this way, the fun part of being a moderator became not-so-much fun for me.
The SE "process" is not very predictable, and communication is done on a crisis basis. Nothing really gets done unless there's a problem. I made Code Review a "problem", and as a result, something was done.
Someone had to pester them, and I volunteered for that....
@DionV. In its current state, it would be closed as off-topic hypothetical/example code on Code Review. CR requires real code and as much context as possible. — Mat's Mug45 secs ago
Sure, I made things messy, but it was not a sacrifical thing. The bulk of my reasons for not running are that I have other commitments that are looming, I am going away for long stretches in the near future, I am overcommitted on the amount of time I spend here, etc.
It will be nice to just be a regular user again, seriously.

Our site is fantastic, but the mod duties are surprisingly demanding, especially when you go beyond the minimum levels required.
So, for the past number of months (since late march), I have been waiting and waiting for an election so that I could use that as a logical break-point to step down....
Since yesterday there's been an annoying loud sound whenever someone sends a message to me on Skype, the least I expected the sound to come from was Firefox
Appareantly it's the Outlook tab even, I was thinking of an extension/plug-in
That's part of why I hope there will be something like 5 spots. So that 1-hour-a-day mods can have a life without compromising site quality much. Besides, we have a whole lot more trusted users now than we had a year ago
For all of those people considering running, you should know that there is a whole "next level" community of moderators and staff behind the system. It's a real honor to be part of that, and it adds a new dimension to the exchange experience.
