12:07 AM
@hichris123 do you sell warm kitchens?

@AnnonomusPenguin Not sure. I guess I'll have to check with my supplier.

OK. Currently my kitchen is 55 degrees so a warm kitchen would be appreciated
:D

55?!

My furnace hasn't been loyal enough to me this week

... it isn't even down to 55F outside :P

12:15 AM
@Undo My thermometer says 17F.

wow

Hey, we're probably going to be below zero again tonight.
Wanna come over? ;P

not... really :P
although now that I think about it, I think you're reasonably close to another kid that won GCI

Well, I don't recognize anyone else's name, so...

"reasonably close" == "in the same tri-state-area/timezone"

12:21 AM
"reasonably close, in a broad sense" more like

right
but in a less broad sense than "same continent"

"Continent closed by Undo ♦ as too broad"

@Undo 24 here. Was -1 this AM

brrrrr
"eastern part of nation put on hold as too cold by Undo ♦"

Whole world put on hold as too broad by Annonomus Penguin ♦
@Undo ...GCI?

@Undo wait... @hichris123 is a winner of that?
Huh

@AnnonomusPenguin no
But @Undo is!

Oh, right!

lol

I just saw his name
How hard was that @Undo to win?

12:33 AM
@AnnonomusPenguin Work easy. Politics hard.
or more accurately, meta-work hard.

...politics?
Like how much work did you do?
Like estimate of lines of code

@AnnonomusPenguin there's a list somewhere, lemme find it
LOC is a terrible metric

Fair point
I love coding with 1000 line comments: it makes me feel productive!

I have no idea what to close that with

Unclear what you're asking?
A close vote?

12:37 AM
but it's perfectly clear

@AnnonomusPenguin 1000 line comments?

@hichris123 </sarcasm>

Good, I was going to say... :P
Hopefully you do TDD though?

I do PDD
Panic driven development
5

@hichris123 not really. Most of my work is on Arduino and that's kinda pointless to do unit tests on an Arduino :D
I'm writing more desktop code now so I need to start learning how to not die with very large projects

12:40 AM
@AnnonomusPenguin Just clone Chrome or Firefox's code. :P

@hichris123 I have my own projects, heh
It always has annoyed me how I have never heard of half of these paradigms (although that's not really a paradigm but) and languages and frameworks and deployment tools. Kinda annoying how everything is so streamlined it's fragmented.

@AnnonomusPenguin So? Open source is fun!

@hichris123 but I'm writing open source!

So? Big open source is fun!
;P

but I'm writing big open source!
:P

12:45 AM
How many LOC?

151651635165151651651 (+/- 16516516541651651656516516165161651651651)

- sqrt π
(that's supposed to be pi)

@hichris123 nearing ~6K but I'm rewriting some code that's less than quality and refactoring in general. I'm estimating it'll be ~7K lines but I'm not sure. I also am writing a lot of GUI front-end stuff that I may package into a library

@AnnonomusPenguin That made me wonder how many LOC Smokey has.

@hichris123 246969
most of that isn't Smokey code, though :P

12:54 AM
Yeah, probably most is the bayesian part.

1:05 AM
How much time do you guys usually code a day?

$e/i$
any unit

@AnnonomusPenguin depends

@hichris123 what would be your best guess?

@AnnonomusPenguin Anywhere from 0-4 hours probably.

Closer to 3 hours most days?

I do have homework! :P
And refreshing the UPS tracking page to see if my order has shipped. ;)

@Undo would it be possible to go back to every SD flagged post, say, a couple of days later, and see if it was deleted?
We could use that data to train the filter
I don't know if that would be worthwhile or not, thoguh

@AnnonomusPenguin Yes, and done.
Kinda.

@hichris123 that's done?

Zepher picks up on Smokey reports, IIRC. (@Andy?)
Also, @Undo built a tool to output non-deleted users with spammy posts reported by Smokey.

@hichris123 but I'm not saying for action, I'm saying to train the filter
The bayesian filter

3:28 AM
@AnnonomusPenguin Well, we do have tp/tpu.
That only does stuff with the title, though.

@hichris123 ? Is that a command or something?

@SmokeDetector tpu
!!/status

@hichris123 Running since 02:34:20 UTC

@hichris123 but it's not automagical!
:D

3:33 AM
It works though (for the most part)!

But it's not fancy!

@hichris123 Yes (at least it did, I can check to make sure, but I don't think Smokey's reports have changed formats). It does not repost them though, since Smokey posts in various rooms around the network and those reports are acted on rather quickly

@Andy Okay, that's what I thought. Thanks for confirming. :)

It's looking for "Bad Keyword in title"
