@hichris123 (and others), I think you are encountering the same error I am, where Smokey stops responding in some rooms. It started when you started watching multiple rooms for commands, right? !!/alive??
Is your error: ConnectionError: HTTPConnectionPool(host='chat.stackoverflow.com', port=80): Max retries exceeded with url: /events (Caused by <class 'httplib.BadStatusLine'>: '')
Looking at stack trace you've provided your error is caused by httplib.BadStatusLine exception, which, according to docs, is:
Raised if a server responds with a HTTP status code that we don’t understand.
In other words something that is returned (if returned at all) by proxy server cannot b...
@ProgramFOX, I know you've done some work with ChatExchange too. Could you see if the conversation above has some steps I should be taking to troubleshoot?
@Undo Weird stuff is happening with SmokeDetector (see above messages). Might this have to do something with the new Bayesian stuff? I temporary ran SmokeDetector and I got many ValueErrors, might be related to that.
@hichris123 As far as I know, superpings are being used if a user hasn't yet visited a room, so pinging Undo with a superping wouldn't change anything, or am I missing something?
@ProgramFOX Superpings also send a notification directly to his inbox (whereas it may take a half hour to show up in their inbox, or maybe it won't show up in their inbox at all).
@hichris123 @Undo Because Smokey is still running, I tried some manual stuff and I found out that it returns a ValueError if the text does not contain valid words.
I'm going to comment out the lines that throw the Error.
@hichris123 @Undo I decided to return 0.1 if there is a ValueError, looked like a good return value to me; if Bayesian cannot parse it, it is not very likely to be a high-quality post.
