00:00 - 19:0019:00 - 23:00

7:00 PM

Can you delete the southern states, too? Is that what you're saying?

@Robusto haha.
no. not what I was saying
For @FaheemMitha

@Mitch Then what good are ya?

The voting pattern in the modern south tends to follow the former slave population densities. (see the blue line curving from southern Virginia all the way through to the Mississippi valley
@Robusto I ain't good at diddly squat, which no one ever said for real

How are you at doodly squat?

7:04 PM
No I can't help you with that either

Useless ...
I require all my acquaintances to be good at both diddly squat and doodly squat. It's the sensible position to take.

I'm sure there are good overlays of those two (kinds of) maps, like the Polish voting and border of Germany before WWI
@Robusto I think that's spreading your talents too thin
Specialize man
besides, doodly squat doesn't sound like a serious thing

I'm a Renaissance man ... a veritable da Vinci.

Fun Fact: da Vinci was not born in Vinci but in the nearby town of Anchiano

I fail to see the Fun in that Fact.

7:10 PM
I don't think his parents wanted him to know. I think it's ok that we talk about it now though
There's your fun!
You'd think it funny if only you'd been to Vinci

Isn't there a soup called Vinci-soisse?

@Robusto you're an anagram of EUR, yo.

@RegDwigнt Nope. USA! USA! Not EUR! EUR!

Well that'd be you'as and not you're, then.

Durr ...

7:22 PM
And everyone likes a little as, but noöne likes an apostrophed one.
Also, I only came in here to ask @Cerberus what the Dutch T form of je was, but by the time the chat finished loading I realized that it's je. The V form is u. Fuck me.
Jun 7 at 18:01, by Cerberus
@RegDwigнt Deze gebruiker bezit beginnende kennis van het Nederlands.
Beginnende inderdaad.

@RegDwigнt Epistrophes, not apostrophes, I say! And @Cerberus would believe me, believe me, believe you me.
@RegDwigнt Why are you pretending that Dutch is an actual language?

I wrote a song called Believe once. It was on the Made in England album. Gus van Sant made a video. It was epic. And kinda shit. But epic.
@Robusto because today is the one day in the year that I'm nice. Even to horrible languages.
In diesem Sinne, Prost.

How generous of you.
What is a T form?

V-T.
Vous-tu.

Ah.

7:25 PM
Вы-ты.

I didn't know we used French for that.

You know all about it, come on. You bring it up like every other year or so.

@RegDwigнt He's brought it up at least a duzen times.

I would search for it but there's like five Cerberaeses in the chat. WTf.
Can't be arsed.

I don't remember that abbreviation.

7:26 PM
Well you taught me it.

I remember almost nothing, let alone abbreviations.
Unlikely.
@Robusto I believe everything.

But of course you don't remember. That is your motto. We've covered that before. Many times. Not that you'd remember a single one of them.

Even that Reg is Cher. It's almost the same name, after all; in Dutch, it's a palindrome. Ger => Rech.
@RegDwigнt Even so, I think you're confusing me with some other hell hound.

@Cerberus That would be a palindrome in Russian, but not in a language that needs a digraph for the ch sound.

I would say, the polite form, the informal form, something like that.
@Robusto In Dutch, ch and g sound the same.
OMG THERE'S A COW'S BUTT STUCK ON ME

7:29 PM
@Cerberus See, I told you Dutch wasn'ta real language.

NOW IT'S STUCK ON REG'S ICON
@Robusto Better unreal than silly.
I still think it looked better on me.

Sounds like you need to update your browser.

Wai?

@Cerberus You would, but you did not. Fact.

I do, of course. But why?

7:32 PM
Anyway guys I'm kinda building a thing so I need to be gone.

@RegDwigнt Then post a link to tab you have open in which I said that.

@RegDwigнt I think you mean "assembling" ... not building.

Was it a present? Have fun.

It's kinda big, is what I'm saying.
We're only 1/7 through after a day of building.

Assembling.

7:33 PM
Which, coincidentally, is the share of dry land that Russia occupies.
Coincidentally? I think not.

So it's the Crimea?

@Cerberus I bought it for myself. So yes it was a present.

Clearly @Reg needs a hobby.

I have a hobby. 400000 of them. But I figured I needed 4200 more, so off I went and bought this thing.
Now that I say it, this fucking set enlarged my collection by a whole 1%. Jesus.
@Robusto it's no Crimea if noöne finds out.

Uh, yeah. My son used to have thousands of Legos. Then he left for college and my other son sold them all to a friend.

7:36 PM
Yeah yeah. And then he studied biochemistry.
See, I went the same route but in reverse.
Because in Soviet Russia, the road walks you.

@RegDwigнt The one with the Legos studied poker.

And that is not biochemistry how?

Nobody knows.

Well a person who gets his ass kicked at poker surely doesn't.

@RegDwigнt Nice package.

7:38 PM
That's gay.

Looks like it comes with a garden gnome.

@RegDwigнt Good.

A garden gnome with a starter ass crack, that is.

You're a cracked gnomon alright.

@RegDwigнt I'm sure the child doesn't know that yet.

7:39 PM
@RegDwigнt Well, my son is the one who knocks.

So he's Skylar.

@Robusto Except triangle man?

@Cerberus Triangle man hates particle man.

Ass on the river.

@Robusto Nobody knows, particle man?
I imagine there shouldn't be a comma in that line.

7:41 PM
@Cerberus But do you know the muffin man?

But it sounds like a comma in my head.
@Robusto No.

And the comma is echt in that context.

A Pythagorean comma, no less.

I know only Ötzi the ice-man.

@Cerberus He lives in Drury Lane.

7:42 PM
So it's a nursery rhyme.
I didn't know.

Anyway. Let me build the other 6/7ths of the Soviet Earth. Kthxtakecareandotherthings.

I habe es nicht gewusst.

Yo any football fans over here?

@Robusto Das ist ja Shreklich.

7:42 PM
@RegDwigнt Have fun!

@RegDwigнt Genau.

@Færd Shh probably not.

Ah OK.

@Cerb is still chafing at how the Orange blew it in 2014.

I don't follow sport.

7:46 PM
I would say...if you live in a place with adults, it's easier than it should be to separate them into groups. But, if you work in a place with children, it's difficult to see them as anything other than their amazing selves...what else would they be?

I work with children, but they form groups of their own accord!

@Cerberus Let's not bring Honda into this.

So I looked it up. You didn't teach me V/T per se, you called it U/non-U. Whatever. I'm a smart boy and I extrapolated from that.

@KannE We've covered this. The first generation is docile but the second get caught up in gangs and ultra conservative groups.

@Robusto Wha?
@RegDwigнt Hah. But that's not the same thing.

7:55 PM
The Honda Accord (Japanese: ホンダ・アコード, Honda Akōdo) is a series of automobiles manufactured by Honda since 1976, best known for its four-door sedan variant, which has been one of the best-selling cars in the United States since 1989. The Accord nameplate has been applied to a variety of vehicles worldwide, including coupes, wagons, hatchbacks and a crossover. == Background == Since initiation, Honda has offered several different car body styles and versions of the Accord, and often vehicles marketed under the Accord nameplate concurrently in different regions differ quite substantially. It debuted...

Mm ah.

@Færd I saw the thing about Iran not getting jerseys sponsored by the major show companies because stuff

Whoa whoa whoa. Actually. Actually. Hold on a sec. I only just realized. That's not Cerberus. That's an impostor. Cerberus has been hacked.
That guy just remembered something. And something obscure to boot. The favorite word of some random Russian guy in all of het nederlandse taal.
Cerberus would have never remembered anything. He never.
I've alarmed Putin already. He's sending help.

Perhaps you meant you alerted Putin?
I think @RegDwigнt has been hacked. He usually speaks better English than that.

Ich spreche gar kein Englisch. Ich tu nur so.
And who cares anyway. Putin is on it, that's all that matters.
First we take Crimea, then we take Berlin.
I know we got the order wrong on that one, but that's Soviet Russia for you.
Also I'm at that point in my life where I can claim any shit I pull off is my poetic licence that I've earned big time. I'm too old to care.
Like, my today's (yes, my today's, fuck you) SoundSlice is an actual piece of mine signed with my actual legal name. That's how few I care.

8:21 PM
I'm gonna read your recent CW essay later. I feel fed up with history.

8:34 PM
@Educ Haha no, it's dik-dik.
@Educ Nice.
> ما أجمل أن تحیا في الأرض بلا نکران
I enjoy listening to songs in Standard Arabic. But most are in regional colloquial dialects, which makes them very hard for me to understand.
I hope I get a chance to learn some of those.

@RegDwigнt Hey, happy birthday. Is this one that ends in zero?

@RegDwigнt MUWAHAHA
@RegDwigнt My today's is actually good English!

1 hour later…
Nice.
Even in the European cultural sphaere, though, there are some young subgroups that are more religious than their parents, mainly orthodox/evangelical Protestant churches.
This problem is most serious in Brazil, but it also exists in Europe and I think in China.

10:55 PM
@Cerberus That picture takes me extra thought to understand. It's not the 1st order 'one color is for a group that is 'more' than another' but instead is, whatever the level of the two groups in each spot, is there a big difference or none. Sort of a first derivative.
Also, I thought it was pretty universal for older people to be more likely to be believers.
You know, because dementia.
ZING!
