A good advice, and I am serious about this. When drinking, whenever you decide to do so. There are only two rules you need to remember.

It took me a tad to long figuring out this.

1. Drink water, both between and after the drinks.
2. Wait quite some time after drinking before sleeping, never go to sleep while drunk.

Forget about everything else, including the do not drink too much policy. That is just bull =)
