WTF?
This is even stranger than the person who was apparently trying to use ELU to request a doctor's appointment.

Q: Arm Raised Against Wall

palmeSome misunderstanding here: A full length photograph of Frieda Lawrence on the patio of Witter Bynner's house, showing her leaning with her right arm raised against the wall of the house. What does "raise against" mean? Could it mean the wall was falling and the act of raising her ar...

Mods: Troll warning.
Hi, fellow food-named person!
Speaking of which, I should find some food to eat!
Mmm
I forgot if you told me what was in your basagna.
checks transcript
I don't have a basagna recipe of my own.
My mom used to make hers with cottage cheese instead of ricotta.
Still yummy.
Whoa. I know people who don't like ricotta.
02:24
I think she just did it because it was cheap and easy.
OIC.
I'd like to try feta insteada.
Interesting. I've had feta-spinach-walnut pesto.
Sounded good in theory, but didn't really appeal to me in practice.
It seems like it would work, since it doesn't melt.
I'll stick to parmesan-basil-pine.
Go and find your food!
02:26
Oh right! Yum! Burrito tonight I think.
Only 7:30 here.
Nice.
I've just had some Sheridan's.
OK take care! Have a great weekend!

Yooo.

Ohhh scary.

@Cerberus Scary is how I like to meet kids at the door on Hallowe'en.
Yay!
My neighborhood kids earn their Hallowe'en candy.
Is it customary for people to be dressed in a scary outfit when receiving children?
@Cerberus It's not unusual, but I would not say customary.
Many people do not costume at all to receive beggars.
Okay.

More than 100 recreational-marijuana shops in line to open in Colorado on January 1st. I dunno about you, but I would think those would be more successful if they opened on December 31st instead. :)

@Cerberus Old property maps in the Low Countries apparently divide things up using an measure of area called a morgen, meaning the amount of land tillable by one man behind an ox during the morning hours of a day. I believe this corresponds to the normal acre, at least notionally (so 1 furlong on the long edge by 1 chain wide on the short one). But was a morgen exactly the same as an acre?
And of course, an acre is also an alien-carved crop circle that’s 78½ yards across as readily seen when flying over the Great Plains of North America.

@Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 This picture offers proof that you are either a drug dealer or someone who's writing software for mobile devices. Let's hope it's drug dealer, because at least you would have interesting stories to tell.
Or you might be @Cerberus. Let me pause to consider that.
@Robusto I noticed that the drug dealers on Breaking Bad are not particularly good at destroying their burner cell phones.
I am always far more careful.
@Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 All the best shows display this trope. Look at The Wire, for example.
@Robusto I haven't watched it.
I'm almost done BB but I am putting the last 4 episodes on hold until I finish, or fail, Nano.
Well, until Breaking Bad it was The Best TV Show Ever.
But Breaking Bad pulled a Bob Beamon on it.
@RegDwigнt: Take note ^
I also noticed that when Jesse bought Walt a burner phone, it was an amazing coincidence that it was the exact same model as the phone he already had, or close enough that his wife couldn't tell them apart.
21:42
I don't remember that detail. But if you are actually saving the ending of Breaking Bad — indeed, if you can delay that gratification — then I don't understand you and probably never will. We live in different universes.
@Robusto I don't like the show as much as you do.
I mean, I like it, but it's not my favourite show ever.
anyway. time to make dinner... cya later
