@Cerberus ^^^^ That is one each of the various handshoes I regularly wear under this or that condition, depending. Sometimes I wear two upon a single hand. Numbering clockwise from the shiny black mitten at the northwest corner, that's likely the warmest. It's fuzzy inside. #2 is only for mild weather. I'm just guessing that #3 would suit you better for biking. #4&5 are liners. The OR one I mentioned earlier is #6. #7 is a grey Patagonia hybrid mitten. #8 is serious.

Anything that splits your fingers will be less good at keeping those fingers warm than something that does not.

Those are variously sized, but they're all either Men's Mediums or Men's Larges. You'd need a large, perhaps greater but you'd have to check.

Women's Large is like Men's Medium. Or less. Be careful of that.

@tchrist I still need to make great efforts to understand Stravinsky to appreciate that work too. Thanks for alerting me that this year is Palestrina's turn to be celebrated, much less efforts is needed for me to appreciate. While Saint-Saens's version still evokes the Mozartean sacred works style (easiest for me) and the vocalist's and the organist's performance is simply wonderful in their devotion, appropriate to the text.

Remember the elements: it can be 20 below zero Fahrenheit with driving snow and 50 mile an hour winds. Or it can be a windy 50 degree day that's grey and overcast. Or it can be dead calm at 0.

@alphabet As soon as a text has become part of centuries' old liturgy, it takes a life on its own, doesn't matter how faithful the translation was from the original language, and those who set it to music would care less since what's important is the association with music, prayers, poetry, you name it.
