@Cerberus well, here's a funny story that answers that question. I just went to post a coimment on that page to say "hey not cool", and it asked me to create an account with "Disqus". Whatever the heck that even is. So I did create an account with Disqus, whatever that even was. But then Disqus, whatever that even is, told me that sorry, I already have an account with them. In conclusion: that is how much I love creating new accounts on websites.
> Although I may have come across the term "constructed language" before (Na'vi language, anyone?), only this time did I take it seriously enough to look further into it, thanks to this post on the Disqus blog mentioning LOLcat, Pirate and Klingon, all of which I've never heard of until this moment.
@Cerberus when I have enough supporters, it first gets reviewed by LEGO. If it passes that review, it gets made as an official set and I get 1% of the earnings.
@IceGirl To start, Singapore is practically a man-made city with the 10% natural stuff either far from residential areas or inconvenient to go to.
Every average "entertainment" here is man-made, even the sand on our beaches are imported. Hence, it makes everything more expensive than let's say, going to the beach in New Zealand or Australia
I mean, I visited a town that has a natural enormous waterfall in it when I went to New Zealand last year.
It's free to go in, very convenient though a little dangerous and tiring to go up and down a waterfall. it's like a mini mountain with no roads
Of course, if you have alot of money, you can .... idk what you can do in Singapore aside from shopping, gambling and visiting what little "tourist attractions" we built.
@Cerberus no idea. One hears from people who made it that it's actually not too little. But again, I'm not in for the money (and neither were they, for that matter).
@IceGirl My mentor was from that school and the lake has tortoises who would get lost into the residential areas during flash floods in the olden days and the residents had to return them to the school time after time :)
@RegDwigнt Last night I dreamed I was building model airplanes. I was doing it really well. When I woke up, I found myself checking out model airplane kits on the web, thinking I could build them way better now than I could when I was a kid. And then I realized: what am I, ten years old? Who cares if an adult can build a model airplane?
@Robusto but that's the whole point of a hobby. Who cares if an adult can collect stamps, or build a hot rod, or have many drinks, or sex? You just do it cuz none of their business that's why.
Consider the sentences,
"At 5 o'clock, you must watch the gate."
And,
"At 9 o'clock, you can -----." (meaning to stop the watch)
Is there any appropriate word to mean finish a watch, other than "stop watching"?
