@Robusto You are 24?

user19161
And the time on watch advertisements is usually around 10.10.

user19161
@RegDwightѬſ道 Probably 42.

@RegDwightѬſ道 — What do you care. You Krauts just say the digits backwards anyway.

user19161
Anyone knows why it is 10.10 and 23 just tell me, I really want to know.

Q: Where can I find sorted word lists used by native students?

ValidfroMI would like to find a sorted list of vocabulary that is studied by native students in primary and secondary school in UK or USA, arranged by grade level. Is there any official place to download such a list?

^ off topic

3:01 PM
tooty four

ruofytnewt

@JSBᾶngs He misspelled naive.

Also, unused.

Catches another comment.
> You are entitled to your opinion, Michael. I don't pretend the word does not exist. I simply said (and say) there was no reason to introduce it in a comment. It added nothing and detracted from the person who said it. My opinion. In this country, I am entitled to my opinion as long as I don't overstep my boundaries or add name calling. Easy peasy. Thank you for your thoughts.

3:02 PM
How about one of us just answers "In the sorted word list bin." and we all upvote it, like, 100 times.

Seriously, kiam, why are you quoting that stuff from over 9000 years ago? It's not like it isn't documented.

user19161
@kiamlaluno So in other countries we are not entitled to our own opinions?

@RegDwightѬſ道 It would be ex if I noticed it before.

@JasperLoy Only Lombardy!

is documented like not documented?

3:03 PM
@JasperLoy It's not what I wrote. It was a comment from Cinque.

user19161
@RegDwightѬſ道 I watched the movie 10,000BC.

Congrats, Cerberus. Here's your non-sequitur-of-the-day award.

@MattЭллен It's there if you look.

@RegDwightѬſ道 I made it seque.

@JasperLoy That one is OVER 9000!!!

3:04 PM
@RegDwightѬſ道 I was hoping for a help to find those comments I didn't wrote. :-)

Ah. That.

@kiamlaluno — Still needs help.

@Robusto You mean a help.

@Robusto Let me "help" you.

Let me unhelp you all.

3:05 PM
The nurse will be with you shortly.

user19161
@kiamlaluno You inspired me to change my smileys from :) to :-).

@RegDwightѬſ道 I didn't wrote that for a reason.

gets camera

@Robusto I know.
No Joke Left Unexplained.

user19161
Robusto=Robert=Bob, so we should call him Bob.

3:06 PM
No Child's Left Behind.
snicker

Per Jasper ad astra.

hehehe

Bob is on the phone.

Get him down quick. He'll damage the poor phone.

Dave? Dave's not here, man.

3:06 PM
Exit to the left.

@RegDwightѬſ道 You call it unexplained, I call it elaborated upon.

user19161
Mahnax=Bob Marley=Bob, so Robusto=Mahnax. QED

@Robusto You call many things many things when the day is long.

Helloo Dave!!

Those aren't exclusive.

3:07 PM
Everything is exclusive. At least where I live.

Oh, sexy.

@RegDwightѬſ道 Exclusive, but not unique.

My deck is full of unique legendaries.

(If it is not unique, it's cinque.)

All the guys say that.

3:08 PM
One more unique than the next.

user19161
Some say unique is more special than special but I think special is more special than unique since unique just means one of a kind.

you say deck, I say patio

What seems to be the problem?

Okay folks, I gotta run. Won't be back for like four hours. Keep an eye on the war.

cya @RegDwight

3:09 PM
OMG the war.

dont' mention the war!

We are OVER 2500!

@Robusto Yum. Dementia.
You look so good in drag, @Rob.

@Robusto you misspelled

indeed

3:10 PM
@Robusto Wow you haven't changed one bit.
@RegDwightѬſ道 Yayy!
And bye!

Over and out.

Haha.

You all appear to be RegDwight's sock-puppet accounts. He leaves and you all clam up.

It's because you are here.

3:13 PM
squeaks

There. I said it.

can't talk without Reg's hand up his arse

Meanie.
Eww.
ventriloquizes himself

takes lens cap off camera

because I'm a sock puppet. not for any other reason

3:14 PM
eats lens cap

puts lens cap back on camera

but lens cap is now in my stomach

@Cerberus you should improve your diet - a man cannot live on words and lens caps alone!

Have no fear, I eat everything!

it's my lens cap. i can do what i want with it.

3:15 PM
then come and get it

@Cerberus (except hairy pie)
punches left head

Hairy pie? But but...
left head is stupid anyway

jumps down left throat
removes lens cap from stomach

it is already down in my tummy

@Kitḫ I bet he does... most men do really.

3:16 PM
I swallow you right back in
@z7sgѪ Eggscuse me?

punches left kidney

@Kitḫ left kidney produces a riddle to distract you

@Cerberus You like getting stuck into a hairy pie.

@Cerberus Oh, shiny!
I think he's confusing us, @Cerb.
I do rather look three-headed from a distance.

then come closer

3:19 PM
ears prick up

A rich man dies because his piece of cardboard was too thin.

A cheating poker player?

I made this one up myself, so it will be ramshackle.
Nope.

did he die of cuts?

No.

3:21 PM
Was he murdered?

No.

@Cerberus — Was he Dutch?

It's a riddle not 20 questions!

Did he like the taste of seagulls?

@Robusto No.
@Kitḫ Probably not!

3:21 PM
Semi-Dutch?

@z7sgѪ No, the questions are necessary and welcome!
@Robusto Who can say, these days?

Not riddles, minute mysteries.

@z7sgѪ it's riddle solved by asking an indeterminate number of yes/no questions

Was he a snow man?

Did he die from a fall?

3:22 PM
No, and no.

Ah ok I see, it really is a ramshackle riddle.

do I know this guy?

Ehh the story doesn't say so.
Probably not your kind of people.
You will understand at the end.

Was he trying to use the cardboard to get somewhere?

was he using the card when he died?

user19161
3:23 PM
@z7sg Would you like to accept this answer? No obligation.

user19161

Q: Is "banned from the airways" an eggcorn or malapropism?

z7sg ѪIt should be "banned from the airwaves", meaning "not allowed to be played on radio". I noticed this mistake in a British newspaper story. The former star's music has largely been banned from the airways since his fall from grace. Is this an eggcorn?

@Kitḫ Hmm...it was indirectly used in the process of getting somewhere, but he could have got there without it.
@MattЭллен No, but he thought he was!

@Cerberus Did he know the cardboard was too thin?

@Kitḫ No!
He thought it was thick enough.
But alas.
Anyway, few rued his death.

Was the cardboard object a box?

3:25 PM
No.
Just a rectangular piece.

Was the rectangular piece playing card sized?

Could have been, yes. Thought it was probably a bit larger.

was there anything written on the card?

Only part of a brand name, which is irrelevant.

Was it a ticket?

3:27 PM
Nope.
I think the cardboard is the hardest part of the riddle.
His death and his wealth may be easier.

Was he sliding on it?

No.

Was he a thief?

Yes!
Very good.

What sits on a hill and howls at the moon all night and is full of concrete?

3:29 PM
@Robusto Your mother?

Poor Robusto doesn't understand the game.

Oh no you dihent!

@Kitḫ My mother is dead, TYVM.

Aww.

@Robusto She ought to be, if she's full of concrete.

3:30 PM
@Kitḫ — Better than full of jizz like yours. :P

Was he picking a lock with the card?

No.

@Robusto Tru dat, but my mother's a whore. I'm used to it.

Anyway, the answer to my riddle is "A coyote." I put the concrete in to make it harder.

3:31 PM
chuckle Good one.

Wow, that is an excellent riddle.
Hard as a rock.

Was he using the card to hide?

No.

Was the cardboard an electric insulator?

Nope.

3:32 PM
Geezis, that's not very safe.
Was he caught thieving?

Not before his death.

You never made a cardboard capacitor?

Did he die whilst thieving?

Yes!

did he know the person he was stealing from?

3:33 PM
Was the cardboard supposed to stop a trap?

Stop, yes; trap, no.

He got trapped in the vault?

@MattЭллен Hmm you're assuming it's a person.
@Kitḫ Yes!

everything that is stolen is owned by someone
otherwise it's not stealing!

Or a collective.

3:35 PM
true

You're almost there!

So he was stealing from a bank, and used a piece of cardboard to hold the door open, but it wasn't thick enough. The door closed and trapped him inside.

Yes!
And why did he die?

and he suffocated?

Ding!
You got it!

3:36 PM
But he would have been discovered long before he died.

Congrats!

@Kitḫ It was the holidays?

Maybe he was stealing from a freezer...

3:36 PM
Vaults have ventilation.
Air-exchange.

This was an old-fashioned one.

I don't think you could suffocate in one.

You could in this one.

Maybe it was a special, top-secret vault containing the last bit of smallpox.

Manufactured decades ago by an obscure Austrian company.

3:37 PM
That would certainly be airtight.

@Kitḫ Hmm, very good!
I like that.
But the vault's door needs to be very heavy.

Besides, vault doors don't work like regular doors.

Depends on the time and the place.

He ought to have been able to push it open from inside.
Anyway, doesn't matter.

I didn't say it was a modern vault.

3:38 PM
Let's have another.

it's all your vault, @Cerberus

Okay, you think of one. I need to put in my contact.
@MattЭллен In this case, I do not object!

It's Matt's turn.

ah
ok, give me a sec, I'll have to improvise

Or Rob? He's been waiting impatiently.
BRB

3:41 PM
OK, I'll steal on from TV
There is a man fixing his car. He see another man, alive, in a field looking into the distance. His car back fires. The man in the field is dead. What happened?

The man in the field is a scarecrow?

Did the man fixing the car cause the man in the field's death?

haha i saw that too

3:44 PM
:D

Did the man in the field die of a heart attack?

you can steal the show if you like @z7sg
no

what do you mean? this is funny... they guessed heart attack first too!

good good :)

Did the man in the field die when he was struck by something from the car?

3:45 PM
no

Did the man in the field's death have anything to do with the car backfiring?

Did the man in the field burn to death?

yeah there are no red herrings in the riddle.. that would be cheating imo

3:47 PM
Was the man in the field looking at the car?

he did look at it after it backfired

Was the man in the field riding a horse?

So the man didn't die immediately after the car backfired?

not immediately, but very soon after

3:49 PM
Was he shot?

Was he mortally wounded by an animal?

BRB

3:53 PM
Did he die of boredom?

no
are you dying of boredom, @Robusto?

Not exactly.

Was his name Robusto?
Was he a delicious italian dressing?

I don't know his name :D
no

Was the man looking at the thing that killed him?

3:57 PM
nor was he a type of cigar
at some point yes, but not all the time

ooh good question

Did the car distract the man from the thing that killed him?

Was the man controlling the thing that killed him?

sort of, but not really
he set it going

3:58 PM
Was the thing that killed him a kite?

no

no, but good guess

A plane?

Was it a hobby item?
