Hi @MartinSleziak. I have a query, and I didn't know where else to ask. Whenever I leave a chat on MO, I am taken to the list of rooms for chat on MSE. Do you know why this happens, and if I can prevent it from happening?

@MichaelAlbanese Chat software probably simply remembers your setting. I am taken to the list of my favorite rooms - since that is the tab I used the last time. If I use the site tab, then I will probably be returned to that tab.

Concerning which site is chosen - Math vs MathOverflow - my guess is that this probably depends on your parent user.

You can change your parent user in your chat profile.

One warning - the suspension on parent site automatically means suspension on chat. Here is a related feature request on Meta Stack Exchange: Don't extend suspensions from the parent site to chat.

At the moment, I have Mathematics as the parent site. This means that if I am suspended on MathOverflow, I will still be able to talk in chat. But if I am suspended on Mathematics, I won't be able to talk in chat during the suspension.
