@gandalf3 @David This is a horrible answer, but technically it attempts to answer the question.
According to the comment by cgslav, there is a option in the smoke domain labeled 'Dissolve'

Does that count as "not an answer?"

@X-27 I voted to convert as a comment. Doesn't feel like a proper answer in itslef, and besides seems "stolen" from cgslav

But it hardly makes sense to convert that to a comment, since it is just repeating another person's comment -

It is a actually something that has bothered me for a while, and I never really know what to do with them.

Many first posters often figure it out by themselves, and post a low effort one liner stating what was wrong.
From a purely objective point of view they don't count as a proper fully constructed answer. But then again it does attempt to answer the question, and often times contains simple solution or pointing what was wrong

Annnddd I've had "not an answer" flags denied because they technically were attempting to answer the question.

I never know what to do with them, they would deserve deletion, but I am always divided because that would just leave an aunanswered empty post. What is more helpful, an unanswered question or a one liner even if low effort?
