now this is a dup.
@Vader is that cycles?
@David yeah
quite interesting.
it's just a shader
Sometimes I just randomly add nodes and see what happens
@Vader I still use screencastkeys 90% of the time. when that fails I use keycastow
@Vader good way to learn new tricks.
Where is this screencast keys?
I do not see it in the addons
00:25
@Vader hold on a min.
It used to be there I think
Thanks
Wasn't it bundled with blender in the past?
@Vader yep. long ago. I forget what version they un-included it.
00:44
what's up with booleaning topo questions today? blender.stackexchange.com/q/83069/2217 and blender.stackexchange.com/q/83066/2217.
01:02
2nd one is pretty unclear

@Vader cool picture! Computer generated abstraction. Always wondered if computer can create an art itself procedurally, since it lacks on a human element within?
Thanks
I don't know if a computer would know when to stop and call it done though
02:23
Hybrid rendering should be a thing
2/3 rendered by the fast GPU
1/3 by the "slow" CPU
Human soul algorithm can't be reproduced by computer IMO :). How did you create this pic btw? It's interesting. Can you show the nodes?
Sure, one sec
rendering another version, have to wait to look at my nodes. blender is bogged down
There you go
The Light is an environment light with a sky texture.
Another one
Man, the nodes was always a black magic to me (these are my weakest side of blender). I am a modeler rather. But I recognized you use a Voronoi though :).
WOW! This one is even more interesting!
Trust me, the nodes are voodoo to me too
I just started dragging nodes into each other and selected a few different drop-downs, eventually this came out
I could not explain to you what most nodes relate to in the image
except voronoi of course.
Also, you have a nice portfolio. :)
Looks like a painting I want to hang in my room :)
Really cool
02:37
You should try doodling in blender more often then.
I just rendered a 15k by 8k image of it and the .exr is 900mb
That's about 625 floppy disks
Yeah, you're right. A few years ago, when I haven't got blender knowledge at all I created images accidentally (brainless nodes usage :)). But then I told myself to teach how nodes works. To make things consciously. But I'm still not an expert :).
15k by 8k? WOW!
Have to go. Your second image is really amazing. I can see this kind of painting in a modern art gallery.
Bye. See you someday
Thanks <3

@Vader very cool. I would not of guessed that is was so simple.
@GiantCowFilms where you been? I've had a pull request sitting since last night.

@David I thought I checked

@David brilliant work
what was the issue with the help page?
Mobile styles are still a bit defunct, but I will fix those in time.

9 hours later…
15:04
I pushed the changes to production, by the way,

@GiantCowFilms nothing specific to that page. same issue on them all. pretty sure it was the margin collapsing that was showing on the help page. (but I dont really remember now)
@GiantCowFilms yah. I was looking at those. some work needed there.
@GiantCowFilms thanks. If you are still trying to get ie8 to look good I have another idea for how to align the logo and nav. but does it really matter? if I add an ie only style sheet I can make the current way look almost normal.
@GiantCowFilms :) so I learned.

Is EEVEE already in blender?

@Vader partially in test builds

well at least it is getting clearer why "Nodes look different" blender.stackexchange.com/q/82676/2217 see my comment.
@Vader only in the daily builds for 2.8 (builder.blender.org/download)

@David That's something that I've noticed
My problem with it is that it should take care of that without me having to do anything
Memory should get cleaned without the user killing the application
@TARDISMaker agreed. but nothing's perfect :/
Yeah...
I still don't like it though
@GiantCowFilms I used your old git manual. "if something goes wrong delete the repo and fork again." works great now :)
@GiantCowFilms another pull request
It doesn't seem like too much to ask for major memory leaks like that to get fixed
To me that's probably a lot more important than making sure every little bit of the spec gets implemented
Most of it won't be used for another five to ten years anyway
I will look into the closing tags on the "parts/downloadPage.php" if not used anywhere else, then remove the closing tags.
@TARDISMaker eh, I like that FF actually implements the spec.
@TARDISMaker true, but if the browsers dont start nobody will use it. look at chrome and mathML
