@gandalf3 I guess it's not really an app. It's just the janky way that the chat opens in browser and you cant do a view desktop version or anything because it's pretending it's an app and honestly it's too confusing for me to survive
01:06
I prefer janky website versions to apps. They are usually still better thought out, and generally still have all the features.

blendernation.com/2017/05/18/image-through-the-woods wow. nice image, but look at the specs on his rig!!!
@Scalia I'm pretty sure you can switch it back.
@GiantCowFilms @Scalia ? I just get the full desktop version
and the sidebar goes over the chat when i zoom, making it sortof unusable..
@David I've tried to get vegetation like that to look right. I am truly flabbergasted. Those pine tree models are perfect. With skills like that, I can see how he can afford such a rig.
@gandalf3 That is roughly what it looks like on my phone
you can tap on messages to select them, letting you reply, edit, star, delete, flag, or link.
I am quite satisfied with it ovreall

Does anyone know if your installed python version impacts blenders functioning? I'm getting an error from a pythong library that is a 2.x 3.x related bug
03:19
@GiantCowFilms if you have a sys path to python, then yes blender will try to use that one. (and throw errors if it is the wrong version)
@David sys path? I'm on windows.
I'm not sure how to install python, and keep blender using its packaged version.
Do you mean the Path environment variable?
@GiantCowFilms yah, whatever its called.
@David Okay, just checking
my issue is that random.shuffle is not working.

@GiantCowFilms o.O I literally get the desktop version
What browser?

3 hours later…
10:04
@gandalf3 Chrome for android.
Not sure what version. Whatever runs on my Galaxy S5

@gandalf3 by the way, in the very bottom right hand corner of the chat, there is a link to enable mobile mode. If you can manage to get the page to let you click on that link on your phone, everything should be good. (You can also click on it on you desktop just to see what mobile is like).
19:22
:O I completely missed that.. thanks

wow the new mobile chat is WAY better then the old one.
(you can still get to the old, but you have to change your user preferences to see it)
22:19
\o/ when you get your regex right on the first try
@gandalf3 Lol! Yes.
Btw, have you tried regex101.com? Its like a debugger and IDE, but for regex.
nope
sounds useful, but now I don't need it ;)
True ;)
but for next time.
(I know I'll have a use for it sooner or later..)
Yeah, its also nice to work with because you can feed it test cases right there. So you can fiddle with the regex without having to go through the process of pushing and testing changes to your application.

This was a one-off in vim
I had a bunch of property accesses which I wanted to change to getterMethods()
But there were multiple properties, so I had to use backreferences and transform the matched property name into the method name
23:01
Oh wow
I see
Also, ouch, always build in the getter methods ;)
