Making a working one of those was my next to last project in Minecraft

My best creation was a small port town, with associated farms, roads, nether hub, etc.

And most of a replica of Maiden's Tower from Istanbul.

If I had better internet connection, I would still be building on that server.

But Minecraft multiplayer doesn't handle 2 second latencies very well. :(

That only happens if you get near the towns a few days before actually going into them.

I don't know if they're still developing & tweeking the AI, but it sure needed a lot of fixing before it could be functional without Creative mode

Creativity in and of itself is certainly not a bad thing, but again, this would be more of a tower of Babel scenario. It would likely be looked to to solve various problems, and in many ways take the place of God

If "given the ability to make choices" and "made in the image of God" are key human attributes, then doesn't that mean that making an artificial intelligence would be pretty much exactly in line with that?

They decided that they would build a tower for their own glory.
