no sorry
Has to be uploaded to the web somewheres
Test
yes
my model isnt that good
17:04
Ah! That worked
Pretend you are going to ask a question, add an image, copy the link that shows up, and paste it by itself in a chat message
ok
how is it tell me
Makes me think of the robotic butler advertisements :) Only critique is that it is a little too smooth, needs to be sharper, and it needs to be in more pieces.
Looking good!
GTG
ok tata
17:09
I love it when I start looking for reference for other parts of a scene, and suddenly find the perfect shot to finish something and its like I hate love you google
hey @GiantCowFilms u check it out
Looks ok... I'd try watching a tutorial like this (not free)
@GiantCowFilms :) lol, well now I feel a little better. I don;t know why ideasman got rid of the shortcut, in favor of the menu list. (He did that to one of mine as well)
@GiantCowFilms does that mean that you have a citizen?
@David I also got alt instead of ctrl in the short cut (ctrl-u)
@David Yup...
I did by a month just do get that one :D
@GiantCowFilms OO, how I wish
did you download all kent's tuts?
17:18
@David most... all the good ones
@GiantCowFilms I have never watched anything by kent that was not a good one.
@David All the ones I'd actually bother to watch, I can't spend my whole life watching tutorials...
@David good point!
@VinceScalia You did not need to put the "Cycles" tag on that question. Even though he is rendering it in cycles, that question has nothing to do with cycles.
@David ok, sorry.
fixed now.
no problem, I'm just kind of picky about the tags.
17:29
@GiantCowFilms I tried to fix IE on my side but it's really mussed up. I keep getting an overflow error.
@VinceScalia oh boy
@GiantCowFilms yeah, this is how I killed chrome, I'm just going to keep it the way it is. at least it works. mostly.
@gandalf3 you might want to look at the responses to your answer, seams two people had the same problem.

Finally posted something truly random!
8945
I've done it 2
blender.stackexchange.com/q/23729/2217 this is not random, and I think some of you may have fun with it.
@GiantCowFilms congrats on getting you first reviewer badge.
18:05
@David Thanks
cool I was the first one to get the reviewer badge for close votes.
yes, only 6 people have it.
But of course you have it :P
@David I wan't to protect the black hole question, it has gotten a lot spam
@GiantCowFilms :) well yes, but I was on this site before you
@GiantCowFilms go look at it . . . I already did that 45 mins ago.
18:23
@David Oh rats
I am starting to like how this is looking
Looking cool!
Those are the only buildings i have modeled so far
nuclear power plant hopefully coming soon
as I said before though, looking pretty comes after general mechanics. - I can texture it later
19:22
@gandalf3 licecap super crappy on my new linux box, what magical settings do you use?
20:17
@David do you know how to setup a game engine multiplayer? maybe over IP?
@iKlsR Crappy in what way? It worked out of the box for me..
From my answer:

"The Map Range node is a node-group which I created based on the implementation in the compositor"
I can't believe I lived this long without the Ctrl+E > Edge Crease function . . . so many handy things on that menu!
@NoviceInDisguise Shift E is even faster ;)
Ah! Even better! Thanks @gandalf3 !
21:22
@GiantCowFilms My airplane is coming along fairly well:
I'm going to paint the texture on the wheel struts and covers, add some details, and I'll be done!
@NoviceInDisguise wow that was fast. faster than those who are better huh?
21:46
@NoviceInDisguise that's one of the best features to use with subsurf
The engine I'm (still) working on depends greatly on it
I really like it, that's for sure! I can keep my meshes uncluttered without losing any detail :)

Nice airplane!
22:39
Well I just wrote my first addon as a answer to a question.
22:54
@David Cool!
@X-27 Thanks! Adding some more detail to it now I am back.
@gandalf3 figured that
@X-27 Looking really nice!
@David Awesome, it is so cool when people write addons as answers.
@GiantCowFilms and i just finished the nuclear power plant
@X-27 Cool, can I see
BTW How do I updated an linked group?
the nuclear power plant is a bit bigger than any other building
nothing is textured yet, however
5 hours ago, by X-27
as I said before though, looking pretty comes after general mechanics. - I can texture it later
now it will only let you build one of each factory
Looking way cool!
23:01
I hope you can cause a meltdown = big explosion.
...And the planet game is still not done, while you create all these cool 3d games :P
lol
23:14
@X-27 aweome! are there military units?
Planet Game anyone?
@GiantCowFilms sure!
The link is gone :(
Okay, meet me in the InterPlanetGame Room
@VinceScalia Good point, @iKlsR @David @gandalf3 Fixy....
I haven't built the aliens yet, but they will be able to destroy your buildings, and some buildings will explode more violently than others... :-)
the cold fusion costs more than the nuclear power plant, makes slightly less energy per building, but takes up a LOT less space
GiantCowFilm's Planet Game: 162.243.150.43:1337
23:17
@X-27 actually nuclear plants don't explode, they just meltdown. U263 is what explodes. I think plants mostly use U264 and U265
@VinceScalia
@X-27 cool!
you might say that there will be military type vehicles
@GiantCowFilms Ill re-pin your game, if you look at my addon :)
23:19
@David sure, link?
@NoviceInDisguise @X-27 thanks guys, It was a learning experience.
40 mins ago, by David
Well I just wrote my first addon as a answer to a question.
@GiantCowFilms or here if you are looking for the repository.
@David will look once planet round over :D
@David Bit bucket, sigh
@GiantCowFilms what? I have had an account there for a long time, because they offered free private repos.
Guys
Blender will more than likely graduate this year!
11
@iKlsR YAY!!!
23:25
@GiantCowFilms does github have a GB limmet? Apparently bitbucket changed there system, now it is unlimited repos, but 2GB max.
@David I don't thing
@iKlsR how do you know that?
If I had to make a guess, before September.

Q: Where have the site self-evaluations gone?

GillesMany beta sites have gone more than 3 months without a self-evaluation. Italian Language: February Computer Science: February; next one scheduled for Aug 9 Reverse Engineering: February Cryptography: March French Language: April; next one scheduled for Oct 11 German Language: April Software Rec...

Current list in the queue is: Salesforce, Expression Engine, Anime, Computer Science, Japanese, Cryptography, Movies, Blender, and English Language Learners. — Grace Note ♦ Aug 6 '14 at 0:13
Expression Engine just graduated.
Which means we are 6th on the list.
Although I don't think it's in that exact order but this year no doubt.
Interesting, that means that I only have 8 more months to get up to 20K rep
@David Surprised you haven't clocked 10k yet.
23:28
@iKlsR me too...
At least I wont any privledges I use
@iKlsR on that note you could UV my addon answer :)
If I could twice
I was going to suggest something similar but wires can look extremely messy if your topology is bad.
very true
The OP liked it, so I helped at least one person.
Really nice ! Thank you. — Jozef Culen 5 mins ago
@iKlsR should I of flagged (my last flag) as spam, instead of the custom reason?
@David 'twas a legitimate question for the most part but not very useful.
23:42
@iKlsR I'm not so sure about that. SE's defination of spam is "This question is effectively an advertisement with no disclosure. It is not useful or relevant, but promotional." which fit that question.
23:54
My last 2 posts, due to misspelling, or flat out missing words, made no sense.... I need to fix that, please remind me if make an error like that :D!
